IHOP — Restaurant in Waukegan

We went tonight with my significant others work friend and his family. As soon as our waitress came to the table we told her it would be two bills and pointed out who was on each bill. She agreed and took our order. The food came out at all different times and had to ask for missing items and refills on our drinks several times. She seemed to be annoyed every time we asked for something. When we were finished we waited a bit but she never came around for us to even ask for our checks. After more than 10 minutes of waiting for her to come around we went to the check out to try to pay. The manager came over to check us out and got the waitress when we told him we didn’t get the check. She handed him one bill. We tried to explain that we wanted 2 check and what was to go on each. After 6 tries for them to get it right I wrote out what was on our check and handed it to the woman. She still got it wrong. It took my significant other’s friend to go behind the counter and tell and show her exactly what to do to get both the bills mostly correct (he ended up paying for one of our food items and one of our drinks) but we were beyond frustrated and needed to get our kids home to go to bed. Our food was okay but saying our service was aweful is an understatement. The 3 stars are only...

We arrived Sunday morning Feb 27th, 2022 around 8:50 am. We were seated promptly even though they were very busy. Our waitress basically did not smile (and, no she was not wearing a face mask). I ordered one of the breakfast combos w 2 eggs, hashbrowns, 3 pieces bacon, 3 pieces sausage and 2 pancakes. My sausage was barely warm and one of my eggs was still raw in the middle. By the time I discovered the egg issue it wa too late for me to get another. The bacon was a part of our conversation about "is this done or not done?"

My husband seemed to enjoy his meal except for the questionable bacon. I on the other hand ate only my hashbrowns that hadn't ended up being contaminated by the raw egg. Luckily my one egg was done and my pancakes were on a separate plate. I kept wondering where is the sugar free syrup or the syrup caddy. (Maybe they don't do syrup caddy due to the pandemic and supply issues?)

I mentioned the issue to the waitress and she just kinda shrugged and offered me a new egg.....and also mentionex to the host or manager and all he did was apologize.

My advice, when they take your order be sure to mention all condiments you want and before you take a single bite, be sure the food, especially the eggs and meals are...

i have 4 specific complaints

-My table (Right side of restaurant) Table had ants that i had to kill, you think that i want to kill ants before my meal? Sorry but you're wrong, oddly enough the ants were right by the syrup.. tells me the syrup bottles haven't been cleaned by the staff in weeks.. the bad part was that it wasn't 1, 2 or even 3 ants, i legit killed 4 myself and then saw an additional 6...

• Our Waitress had ZERO knowledge about the menu, she overcharged me for subbing Waffles instead of Pancakes on both my meals... I did not want to argue so the charges were payed for with what was supposed to be her TIP $$$.....

• My Girl and I both waited over 50 Minutes for our meal, what sucked most is that the party that sat right after us ATE and LEFT before we even had our meal out..

• i believe i spoke to the manager(In Red Long sleeve Button Up) i mentioned to him we waited over 50 min for our food, you think he'd at least say sorry for the inconvenience, all he said was ok one second. walked to the back and brought out our Cold @$$ Waffles..... STAY AWAY from this place, i hadn't been there in over 5 years and now i remember why...
