Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Wenatchee

I've been here to this specific applebees a half dozen times and it's always an easy experience. The staff appears happy, I'm not gonna say they're extremely friendly compared to other applebee's in the country, but they're not irritating. The food was on average of any other applebee's. Cleanliness without going into the kitchen of course was spot on I didn't see any food or trash on the ground. Bathroom equally tidy. On the 1 or 2 occasions that I've sat at the bar the barkeep kept everybody's drink filled and the beer was cold. I've had dinner there twice along with appetizers and everything's always arrived from the kitchen more than warm which I appreciate. Not this restaurant's fault persay because it's an applebee's issue as a whole entity, but I would appreciate if they could dedicate maybe a page if not at least more than 5 items on their menu to being carb free choices or keto friendly. I can honestly say that my wife and I would probably spend at least 3 times as many times (maybe 1x now per month) going to applebee's if that was an applebees 2020 menu&kitchen update. Now the cons of this place are a couple of the staff don't always come off as being the happy to be there kind of people. Perhaps even coming off as clearly thinking customer is more of a burden than an opportunity, I don't think that's how service staff should ever present themselves. I know you have to be at work and it sucks, but as a customer/patron of the restaurant I don't want to know that. I have also met staff at this location that seemed to actually enjoy their job and making suggestions as far as food menu items and drinks was pleasurable. Thus 4...

Bad customer service. We make our order at 9.05 PM two boneless wings and 2 drinks. After 30 minutes we talk with the manager and the server David forgot to put on the system our drinks. Okay, at 9.40 PM, our food come but again the server who want to do all the tables but dont have experiences to do that, put another plate. We talk with the manager and at 9.50 PM our food come correctly. After almost one hour waiting the food. We notice this server want to make the service for every table. This mean he believe we will make more tips in that, but is not. We came from Seattle and we go to applebees every week and always we gave 30% or more tips when the customer service is good. But in this location with this service is so bad and we probably do not want come back. The general manager make a good service but this server David he is so horrible. Of course he need to understand how make a good service and after that take a lot of tables. He need to understand if he make a good service he will receive good tips. After the manager come the server avoid to look for us. The table behind me say the same thing. The server is so bad and the table in front of me, left after 15 minutes without water on the table We understand sometimes is busy but it is impossible all server doing the job but only David not. He need to training more and understand how to make a good job, and stop doing things like that ( he have tables on the right, left and outside the bulding ) of course is impossible make a good service. If people think this is what good food is.. This town really needs help. The drinks from the bar where great! But the food was not good, to be honest. The appetizer was so small, I mean for 9 bucks we figured it would be enough for the 3 of us, it was not. The salsa that came with the appetizer tased like it came out of lunchables! I got chicken cesar salad that was chicken, lettuce, a couple croutons, and a glob of cesar dressing plopped in the middle. The chicken had a weird seasoning that tased off, and the bread stick that came with the salad was gross, this coming from someone who has tried a lot of bread sides, this was the worst one Ive ever had. My friends rice was so bland and again the seasoning on her chicken had an odd flavor. The service was meh.. We ordered the halloween drinks from the bar but we had to look them up to figure out what was in them... Usually you would expect water with an alcoholic beverage, nope. 3 drinks in and still no water, I finally asked for a glass but I feel like it should have been a given. We look like broke collage kids so i understood at first the server thought he might not get a tip but you have to act like you deserve a tip from the beginning, not once you realize we where not the broke kids you thought we where half way through our meal....
