Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Stopped in the other night and truly terrible customer service. It was around 8 and they were already cleaning up so I waited there for someone to acknowledge me until I had to say something because the guy who the approached the counter was working on mobile orders and wasn’t even looking up. Totally fine, I can wait my turn but at least the girl cleaning the tortilla warmer, or the lady taking temperatures, or the cashier, or the guy with the bags could’ve said we’ll be right with you or something, to be polite you know. And before someone thinks they don’t pay them enough to be polite it’s the bare minimum of customer service. Point is the guy finally looked up and I told him what I wanted he served me and he was STINGY. As in he took food out and I got more salsa than beans stingy. He left my bowl sitting there expecting someone else to take over on toppings and walked away. Another two minutes and I nobody tended to it so he came back and I asked for lettuce because the guac was black and looked gross. He sent it down and the cashier bagged it up and gave me no receipt. I should’ve said something but I was still in shock from how little food I got. Keep in mind the containers were full of food and they were two hours from close. Even during checkout I was looking at the mobile orders he was preparing and this guy was STINGY with the food. Absolutely ridiculous I’m sure whoever got those delivered was as...

I placed an online order for pickup bc we were out & kids wanted quesadillas and rice. Order wasn’t ready, no problem, I expect to wait. But I know to always check the bag bc their online orders are always wrong. So the 2 quesadillas are there but no rice and I tell the girl the order is just missing the rice, thinking she will take care of it with the flip of a spoon and I’ll be in my way.

She takes the bag, puts it behind the counter and then I just stand there for 20 minutes being completely ignored. At least 20 customers came and went. I had kids waiting in the car bc I thought I was running in to grab an online order. I tried asking twice but the girl just looked at me like it was not possible to put rice in the container, though everyone else was managing to get it.

Finally I had to get assertive bc I needed to go and I said all I need is the rice. I’ve been waiting patiently while all these people got their food, and you took the food I already paid for. That’s when some virtue signaling real-life troll who was checking out starts telling me that I was being rude, like he’s some kind of combative Chipotle Jesus. The hypocrisy of it, having no regard for the fact that I was standing there long before he ever ordered and actually got his food, and all I wanted was the food I paid for so I could leave. It was 4:04 when I went in and 4:32 when I left, way too long for an online order!...

It would be 5 stars, but I did find a long black curly hair in my lettuce that I could not pull out, so I threw out most of my lettuce. I was grossed out! ...only for 2 minutes. I had to make a decision to not let the "hair-in-my-salad" ruin my once a week of eating at a "fast food" comfort food chain. But, don't let the hair factor discourage you too much. I did talk to manager about it. I have confidence they will correct that problem. We shall see. If it were not for the hair in my salad, it would be 5 stars because the ingredients appear and taste fresh & delicious. If you consider chipotle a "fast food chain," I would consider it the Rolls Royce's of fast food: natural, fresh, hot & delicious. The seasonings in each of the items in my sofritas ?sp vegetarian bowl were just right: sweet corn, black bean & its broth (yum), pinto beans, brown rice, teaspoon of chopped tomatoes, shredded romaine lettuce & sprinkled cheddar cheese. When all these put together, it sure taste like homemade cooking. That's why I took it to-go and brought it home, so I can add my own fresh organic chopped avocado, sprinkle with organic olive oil and organic Italian seasonings, & organic lime.
