Big Boy Dining OutBig Boy Dining Out
Buffalo Wild Wings, 4325 Norfolk Parkway, West Melbourne, Florida- 2-Stars (Chain Restaurant Rating) There are 18 tables open at the West Melbourne Buffalo Wild Wings, but rather than seating people, there is a wait list. I wonder if the manager is going to message me to apologize. Probably not, and why bother? Don’t tell me you are sorry because you decided to pull a stupid procedure. Don’t gaslight me with a dark lantern. There is zero reason not to seat people at clean open tables with the understanding that things are a tad backed up. Besides this is a giant corporation. What do they care? Alicia is our server. She came quick and was uber charming, which was a welcome relief after a needlessly long wait standing in line. In fact, Alicia might very well crack the Big Boy’s Top 5 Servers in Brevard List. She’s great, and I worry she suffers like most waitstaff in cheapjack chain restaurants from Beaten Dog Syndrome, working twice as hard as a server in a better restaurant. I ordered six Traditional Wings with the Thai Curry sauce. The wings were cooked properly, and the curry seasoning was delish. Not too shabby. My beef was not with the eponymous wings, but with the beef itself. Let me explain. If I had stopped at the wings, this review would have been better, poor management aside. However, I made the mistake of ordering the All-American Cheeseburger—the real downfall of this meal—over-cooked shoe leather grilled up fast, thin, and crispy on the outside, and theoretically juicy on the inside. This idea is touted in certain culinary circles as the “smash burger.” Although I think it is just a scheme by Sysco to sell more low-grade ground beef. “Let’s squash the crud out of meat then cook it past well done. These morons bought fast fresh so let’s try bludgeoning inferior burgers.” Not a fan. The Big Boy says, “If you want B Dubs chicken wings, you might consider getting them to go. If you want a burger, go someplace else.”

AVOID AVOID AVOID note: this is my first experience (and last) with BWW. Without exaggeration, this was the worst food experience I've had in a long time. Delivery showed up 15 minutes late, and then the order page said it was delivered exactly on time. It wasn't. I took it from the driver's hand fifteen minutes late. Feeling hopeful, I sit down for dinner with the family. 3 items ordered. 1) The Challenge. It was missing the ice cream and headband, and the wings were cold. Even if it was warm, the sauce tasted sour. Not too spicy, I do spicy challenge stuff all the time, it's not bad. The sauce is just gross, no flavor. 2)The macaroni was so baked from a heatlamp it had a solid layer of hard noodles on top. 3) The tenders showed up lukewarm with cold soggy fries. The tenders were also not great, caked in black pepper. Even taking temperature out of the equation, 2/3 items were unacceptable. The tenders I'll chalk up to a taste issue, I could see someone liking them. If you're expecting your kid to eat them you may be disappointed. Every item of this order is currently sitting in my trash can. Chargeback incoming. Photo provided of where this food belongs. Time to order somewhere else.

We have consistently come here since they opened. We love the friendly service staff and the Wild Herd Beers that taste great and are friendly to your wallet. We have been customers since before we had the ability to buy beer. We would come here for highschool dates (getting soda or water of course lol). We come here to watch our favorite teams and our favorite fighters. We have our favorite wing flavors but always try the new ones when they come out. Anytime we want an ice cold beer and just want a hassle free time we think Buffalo Wild Wings every time. From sitting inside or sitting outside depending on the temperature. We are rewards members as well and always use our points for free appetizers or food. If you’re local and want some cheap tasty beer this is the spot. Come in for happy hour too and you’ll get some cheap drinks for sure. This place is a staple for us in West Melbourne and so close to home. Thank you guys for everything you do!

Summary provided at the top; full review provided below.

Summary Pros: -Great wings. -Good food in general. Cons: -Customer service is unacceptable to adequate at best. -Restaurant becomes almost completely worthless for ~15 minutes if power goes out for just a quick moment.

Full Review I want to start by saying I love Buffalo Wild Wings' food, but this location specifically was terrible. We have purchased food from this location before. In the past, service has been adequate, but it definitely was never stand-out amazing or anything like that.

On this specific occasion, we went to the restaurant after placing an order online. We just got to the restaurant and walked in when the power went out and immediately came back on. With the way the electronics are set up, the power outage, although brief, shut their network down. Everything was booting up, and we were told we would have to wait for about 15 minutes to pay! We even asked if they could take cash instead, since we could clearly see there are key holes in the registers; we figured a manager could just open the cash drawer and check us out. We were told they didn't have any way to tell how much our total was, and when we showed them the confirmation email with the order total, they said they were still unable to help us at all. There was also another gentleman with his son in a similar situation; he was just paying for the food they ate already. It was 10PM at night, and he just wanted to get his son home. He was willing to leave them his credit card or cash and come back for his belongings later. The staff was not helpful at all, and with my previous customer service experience, I thought it was ridiculous that there was no way whatsoever they could close out checks. The manager offered no resolution or compensation for the extreme inconvenience to any customers involved. I called the Buffalo wild wings corporate office and left my complaint as a voicemail on a Saturday night. I didn't expect a response until at least Monday, especially on Father's day weekend. I received a phone call Sunday afternoon, and the gentleman I spoke with apologized for the experience, said he wanted to use this specific situation as a teaching experience for the restaurant staff, and took my address to send us coupons for future visits. When the coupons came in the mail, they were vouchers which essentially refunded our meal, something the manager should have at least gave us a discount for. I find it ridiculous that, as the customer, I had to go above the restaurant management to resolve the situation. I will still eat Buffalo Wild Wings' food in the future, but I will avoid this restaurant...

Great location, very clean inside & out, pleasant & welcoming atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff, great customer service, but VERY sub-par wings.

I can't believe I just paid $16 for 12 wings on their BOGO 50% off Tuesday special & they were so sub-par. It's a first for me that the wings were so not good & I'm shocked to be honest.

I got them super fresh IMMEDIATELY out of the kitchen & started eating them right away, yet somehow they were nowhere near hot, they weren't even warm. How's that possible?

The wings were also much smaller than I've ever had from them & I've been ordering from them for over a year now. Is this a cost cutting sign of inflation?

If so that's really sad. So sad in fact that I'll probably stop eating here from now on. I'm amazed at how poorly they came out.

The only reason I didn't take them back is because I was already hungry & annoyed after realizing how not hot the wings were.

So instead of trying to get a refund or something similar I just told the manager how displeased I was & that I'd write a negative review to voice my displeasure & warn others to think twice before ordering their wings.

To his credit he did offer me a refund even though they had technically closed by this time. But I politely declined it hoping that this negative public review would provide more value to them as motivation to do better, & to their future customers by letting them know how their wings might come out so they'd have the heads up.

Anyway, the only good part of the wings was the sauces so at least they get a passing grade for that.

I've noticed the declining quality of their wings & simultaneously rising prices for a couple of months now, but it's only NOW with THIS order that that combination has officially crossed the line enough for me to complain & write a bad review about it.

Hopefully they get their act together a.s.a.p. & hopefully this review helps others thinking of buying their wings, but I'm not holding my breath for the former so I wish them the...

Very disappointing! Ordered take out and will never do so again. In fact, I doubt I will ever eat there again. It took 20 minutes for the individual to explain how to place the order. Then the bundles shown online were not listed on the in-house menus. After finally getting the order made for a 40 wings bundle with large fries and celery and carrots on the side (20 wings of one sauce, 10 of another sauce, and 10 of yet another different sauce to have a variety) the outcome was a disaster. After another 20 minute wait for my order, they hand me a bag with nobody there to go over the contents with me. I went to the car and looked inside the bag to ensure the order was correct. I see my large fries were missing. I came back inside to let them know. As they checked the bag, the different boxes containing three different types of sauced wings opened up and it all became a huge mixed sloppy mess inside the bag. There went the variety tasting. I tell them I did not get enough side sauces for 40 wings, especially since I now needed to dip them individually to taste the different flavors since they were now all mixed in the bag. When I asked for more sauces, I was told they normally charge for extras, although, I had never been given what I was supposed to get for 40 wings to begin with. I asked to speak to the manager to no avail. I was eventually given the missing fries and sauces. Then I get home (just a five minute drive) to find cold, unedible, soggy, greasy, hard fries. The 20 in-bone wings were greasy and the skin was very soggy and barely cooked. The 20 boneless wings were small popcorn chicken bits and they tasted terrible. Even the blue cheese sauce to dip the celery and carrots was watery and tasteless, not to mention the super tiny container they give it to you in were two thirds empty and certainly not enough. The entire order ended in the trash can. My hard earned $50 thrown away due to unedible food. No, I do not...
