8/15/24-OMG! What a disaster today was… Please keep in mind the first few weeks can be challenging!! They are definitely having issues!! Absolutely beautiful inside and outside! Very inviting! Much needed in West Palm Beach and CitiPlace!!! Truly a welcomed addition!!! It will definitely succeed but right now it’s a disaster!!
Thursday 8/15/25 12:15pm 1st few days/weeks open.. definitely in the working out the kinks phase!!!! No host or supervisor greeting guests- inside or outside! No idea how their system works? Outside seating ? Do you seat yourself? Inside seating do you seat yourself? Proceed inside to a long line.. 2 supervisors standing midway through the small restaurant looking on their phones no acknowledgment from anyone! Seating inside is almost full.. No information., do we seat ourselves? Do we stand in a very long line and order and they bring our order to us? No information! No one greeting us..absolutely no hospitality! When i first arrived there was a small line.. ( a very long line appeared after a while) After waiting for a few minutes I actually approached a staff member and asked. She was very polite and helpful.. she said on the weekends they will be full service but during the week they are not.. order at the counter, take a seat and a number and they will bring your order to you.. I’m very familiar with the brand and was willing to wait on the long line… I have been anxiously waiting for the opening! Watched the construction for months!! Saw the opening and menu on the Facebook, Instagram and Website so I was ready to order when my turn came up!!! I ordered, still excited to actually experience the amazing food and was told they are unable to serve Wine, Specially cocktails etc!!! Really! Many people walked out! I said they really should say that on their website, facebook etc! After waiting on a long line..or a notice at the entrance… As the staff member at the register was informing me.. .. the fire alarm went off! An extremely loud fire alarm sounded and the lights were flicking etc! I left, as did so many others and some staff member was saying it’s only our dishwasher and not a fire! As i was walking out the fire truck was approaching with sirens blaring! People were leaving! Chaos and no management! No information! So sorry but poorly managed! We saw firemen rushing in with their equipment! Yes, there was no fire! Several local businesses in the area said this has been happening a lot! I will say - for such an incredible reputation this brand has -they had better look at their management team in West Palm Beach! Extremely unprofessional management! I will, of course return in a few weeks to actually experience the delicacies that they are known for.. so sorry! Today was...
Read moreI love maman! The Wynwood location is my favorite one and I've been seeing maman open up so many new locations EVERYWHERE!
Drove up to West Palm Beach to meet a fellow Yelp Elite friend from Cali, Te-see, for coffee and pastries. Loved that we finally got to meet in person as I missed her last time I was in Los Angeles. She is just as sweet as I expected and it was so nice hanging out at maman and getting to know each other. This was the perfect spot to meet.
Got here early around 10:30am and it was fairly quiet. The place got busy quickly though and by the time we left around noon, the place was packed. I love the whole maman vibe all in all. Everything is lovely, beautifully curated and has so much charm. I will say I love the Wynwood location more so because all the windows bring in such beautiful natural lighting. This spot was a bit dim with minimal windows only in the front. But the patio seating area is amazing. So cozy and shaded.
I got the Pistachio Wreath Dark Chocolate Cappucino and Pistachio Chocolate Croissant. Yes I'm currently in my pistachio era! Lol. The cappucino was perfect and not too sweet, I did confirm this with the lovely cashier before ordering. The presentation was on point. The pistachio croissant could have been better, there was way too much pistachio cream and i had to scoop about 75% of it out in order to enjoy it. The cream is so heavy and dense and only needed a light spread to get that full pistachio flavor. I wish I got the cinnamon bun kouign amann because maman makes the most perfect kouign amann.
All in all, the space is more intimate here with a wide selection of pastries early in the morning. Service is wonderful and they are attentive. I love the featured Winter Seasonal Drinks. Funny enough, I caught these drinks on its last day. Good timing. They also have a private room towards the back, very small and intimate but a nice option for private events.
Now I need to scope out each and every maman location so I can check them all off my list. I saw the one in the Miami Design District but it was closed at night when I was there. That spot looks cute. Will start making my rounds. Keep up the good work maman and congrats on growing in the South...
Read moreSeverely disappointing. When you pay that much for avocado toast and all you get is the lightest schmear of it on the bread, that is not avocado toast. A quarter of the bread was taken up with lemon wedges. It was topped w/ literally 2.5 grape tomatoes when I’ve seen actual fresh chopped tomatoes on other pics. The bread was so crunchy it was hard to cut w/ the knife and the egg that I paid extra for, which was ordered as over medium, was served over well/burnt. We paid $40 for a cup of tea, an “omelette,” and the avocado toast with egg. I tipped on the order and shouldn’t have. They gave me my tea at the counter and the only interaction ever w/ any “server” was when someone brought the 2 plates of food to our table. This was our first time here and we would not return here again. My friend’s “omelette” was really more like scrambled egg that had been poured into a skillet and then when it was almost done, they topped it w/ her toppings. It was also weird b/c they covered it w/ the salad. She said the meal was salty and gave it a 7 out of 10, which was super generous. Skip this place if you want a real meal. Maybe it’s good for a pastry and a coffee, maybe. But it’s not a breakfast spot I could ever recommend to anyone.
Also, right now if you want to sit outside, you have to listen to really loud construction so we chose to sit inside. If you sit inside, you cannot have a private conversation b/c all of the tables are in one row along the wall and you sitting right next to other people who aren’t in your party.
Plus you have to pay for parking to come here. You either have to pay at a meter (which cost each of us about $4 for an hour and 15 min worth of parking) or you have to pay to park in a parking garage which is about 2 city blocks away.
The whole experience was totally...
