Visited for the first time today with a friend for brunch. The line was pretty long around 1030am and I had my baby with me in stroller so had my friend wait in line while I sat at a vacant table and tried to be out of the way until my friend got closer to the front of the line. We were first told we could sit down after ordering and that they would seat us, but maybe there was some miscommunication because after we got our food we asked and they told us we could sit at any open table.
When I placed my order they told me there were no tables left so it had to be takeout which was confusing because when we were waiting for our food there were empty tables. I then noticed I was charged a 12% service charge. When I asked what it was, they said it was because I ordered at the front of the house (as opposed to where?? Online? Idk) and that it was like an automatic tip. Then their payment system (no cash, they only take a card) asked me if I wanted to tip so I said "no". Good thing I asked because I normally feel guilted into tipping with those darn machines and their lowest tip level is often 15% - for takeout). My acai bowl was $19 total. Pretty expensive for what I got but the place seemed kinda uppity so š¤·š»āāļø we ended up grabbing a table outside and the ambiance was great!
Was hard to find nearby parking because of the construction, so I parked in the Hibiscus Garage ($10+ on Sundays for all day parking).
Glad I went and checked out someplace new. The food was delish and the service was pretty good too. Too expensive for my taste (if you're not paying attention you won't realize there's a service fee until later) and too confusing at the start of my experience, hence...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to Pura Vida for as long as they have been open here in WPB. I had the most insane experience today. Starting off I ordered my food to go at 12:00pm. I got there at 12:15pm Lonni was very nice - it was clear they completely forgot about my order....
I went for a walk and came back. My dressing on my herb salad was literal apple sauce texture. I went out to Rosa outside saying very kindly "excuse me mam" I said it 2x thinking she could not hear me. Then I went up to her face to face thinking she would be able to hear me since I'm right in front of her. Rosa completely ignoring me. It was such an awkward encounter another customer looked at me asking if that really just happened.
At this point - I felt $30 for a salad and matcha to be met with service like this. I asked for the manger... a random girl upfront said she was the manager as I am half way to my point. The actual manager shows up. They did not ask me about what employee was being disrespectful. They told me the sauce was fine and I need to let it melt.... They then asked what do you want? I asked for new dressing. They gave it to me and that was end of it.
I will never come back here. I will tell my friends the same. I've been to Pura Vida at other locations. This one needs a serious revamp on the fundamentals of human kindness. This place is so expensive to begin with. Lonni was the only reason this place got a 2 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Pura Vida-WPB, while visiting the area. I've been to the location in Miami before, so I was excited to try this location. It wasn't super busy and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. All of the locations have a distinct aesthetic. They are very bright, colorful with beautiful hanging florals. I asked for my usual, which is the kale chicken Caesar wrap; however, I noticed there was an allergy alert for the croutons. The manager, Erick, informed me that they recently switched the crouton ingredients and now they contain nuts. Unfortunately, I have a nut allergy, so I had to remove them. It was such a bummer because the croutons added a crunch that the wrap needed. Although, the wrap was still good, I missed the croutons. I also missed the side salad they use to serve with the wraps. In comparison, the salad they serve now with the wrap is super small and doesn't justify $17*++ for just a wrap. I hope they will go back to the original side salad one day. I also purchased the Pura Vida Watermelon Cucumber Kombucha, which was very refreshing. Pura Vida is a bit pricey, but it's always good. Additionally, Erick was super helpful, friendly, and professional. Erick was 5 stars, but the changes brought my scoring down to 4 stars. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this location minus the small changes...
