UPDATE Amber, the salon manager called me and apologized profusely. She was extremely accommodating and professional. She offered to fix my hair for free but given I'm kind of leery about using them again, I asked if a refund would be possible and she said it was. I probably won't go back for a haircut but Amber made me feel much better about everything. It's really nice to see a salon take care of customers like that.**
Wow, I have never been more upset about a haircut in my life. The entire time I spoke with my stylist, I kept repeating to her, "my hair is incredibly thick, I need lots of layers and to have it thinned out." It didn't matter how many times I told her this, she dismissed my comments, insisting it was fine, even when I ran my fingers through and asked for more. As far as a "consultantation" that the salon boosts about, there was none. I asked her opion on full bangs and she replied, "I don't know it's your call." I asked her what she thought was something fun I could do to switch it up without crazy colors (I work in the medical business) and she said, "Well there's not much.." Really? I've gotten better feed back from a Super Cuts. I know she was busy because the entire time, she was bouncing between myself and another patron. But if you're too busy to give me your attention, then please have another stylist work on me. She left to take a phone call as well. When I was told it was going to be $57 I almost lost it. I hated my cut but thought, 'maybe if I go home and style it the way I like it, it won't be half bad.' Boy was I wrong. My layers were not straight or even, my bangs are incredibly short and NOTICEABLY uneven and poorly cut, the face framing I really insisted on was non-existant.. I called the store, a bit upset and asked about a refund. The very young lady who answered gave me the run around until I asked her to leave a manager a note since there seemed to be no management or supervisor on site today. Over all, this was an awful experience. Now I have to go to another salon and get my hair fixed. If management is polite and tries to work with me, maybe I'll change my review, but as of right now, this is a...
Read moreThis was not a good experience today. I went in for brow pomade and micellar water, should have been a simple trip. The first girl that asked if I needed help I asked her where the brow pomade was, she started walking me across the store and then mid walk asked another customer how they were doing and started talking to them, while I was already following her. So rude. After getting the pomade I went to get my brand of micellar to find that they were out of every type that my brand makes. So I go to an associate and ask if they can help me find a suitable replacement that is cruelty free and clean (no parabens or harsh chemicals). The girl proceeds to walk me over to the Garnier micellar display and tells me “all of this line is cruelty free”. Garnier is NOT cruelty free. One look at the label tells you that and that it’s not “clean” either. She gave me that one (very incorrect) suggestion and then turned and walked away. She clearly did not want to assist me. Knowing that Garnier is not cruelty free, I again started to walk around looking for a replacement. Another girl approached me and she actually took the time to find me a couple of possible options. Get to the register, my coupon didn’t want to scan and the girl at the register told me it was expired when the date below the barcode clearly said valid till 1.30.21. She had to call the manager over to apply my coupon, which is when I found out that the 2nd associate that had dumped me at the Garnier display WAS the manager. Then I asked if they just weren’t going to carry my brand of micellar anymore and they told me that they do, and that I could order online. Called another Ulta to see if they might have it because I’m really in need, and that’s when the other store informed me that Ulta is doing a “skin reset” and they don’t know what kinds of Pacifica micellar they will carry in store anymore, if any. And it’s not available to order online. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. Don’t go here if you want actual customer service...
Read moreWas very excited for my hair appointment for last Tuesday morning!! Keritan treatment. My appointment was at 9am . One minute before, I walk to the door, while another woman was knocking on the window.. I asked if she checked the door.. her reply was we’re closed. So I waited there ignoring her comment. When another girl unlocked the doors… I went to follow them in, but the same girl stopped me asking very rudely, do you have an appt?!? I replied yes. She then said wait here while I go check. Then she shut and locked the door. I wait… the same girl comes back only informing me to go all the way to the back where the salon is. I go, thinking I’ll be done with her. Nope, she then says give me a moment to set up my station. I said you’re doing my hair??! She said yes. I said no, is there someone else that can do my hair!?! She said no. I then told her that she wasn’t nice from the her go and I didn’t want her touching my hair. She said with no care, ok and started taking me to the front door. I told her that if she is so unhappy this early, maybe she should find other employment elsewhere. She said what ever. The manager came over… I told her that I missed church for this appt and was very disappointed. I was recommended to come here and was very disappointed in how I was treated. All she said was that she would coach the girl. Nothing about my missing church nothing to try to get me to come back or anything. I disagree with her… I said you can’t coach nice. You either are or not. She let me leave with no resolution. And I still haven’t heard back!! I waited 4 days till I wrote the...
