Romano’s is a tasty option for a solo dining experience and even for a large group of 15+. Their various bread appetizers were all amazing as were their fried macaroni balls. My main course was the Shrimp Portofino and while I am normally not too picky I found it to be lacking flavor that I expected based on the description. Many in my group said the same thing, but we all left full even if we didn’t finish. Their Italian Soda is a non-alcoholic beverage that caught my eye. I got mine with cream as recommended by my server but for the price it was very small and I felt the cream drowned out the flavor far too much to justify it so I would say to skip unless you’re a fan of very light flavors. Water is pitcher-poured and the staff is very diligent in doing refills but ice is inconsistent which a few in my group were disappointed by since they like their water very cold with heavy ice. Every one of their desserts are great! Especially their chocolate chip cannoli. There’s not too much for me to say about this place beyond that. The staff and atmosphere are great but they are a chain available in 11 states that could be compared to Olive Garden — something the 3 other people at my direct table said they preferred. Because of this I would say it’s a good place but you won’t be missing anything life-changing or legendary if you skip in favor of a small business. (There are plenty of single-location Italian restaurants in Denver and surrounding areas.) That said, I’m not mad about it but for the price I wouldn’t choose to return but do still recommend it if it’s up your alley.

Unfortunately make sure to check prices with the wait staff at this location. Some items are more expensive than the menu says, plus, even though the menu says "side of soup, ceasar salad, or green salad with purchase of entree", the salads are actually a $2 up charge and the soup is $5 and is charged as unlimited. We went today for mothers day and ordered 3 entrees. We were made aware of the $2 charge which didn't make sense and i honestly thought it was a mistake (its definitely on us for not questioning that) but we were not made aware of the $5 soup charge, nor that it was charged as unlimited (we were never asked if we wanted more soup, either so not sure how we were supposed to know that). The beers on tap and unlimited prices are also $0.50 more than on the menu given to us. Honestly $0.50 is not a big deal. I however am upset about the up charge on sides that according to the menu are supposed to be included with an entrée. There may be more differences but those were the only ones that affected us. I know tariffs are hitting food pricing, but how can customers make informed decisions if they don't have access to the actual prices. Pictures of the menu provided are from this evening. The food was good. I had the Pollo caprese which was good but the portion for $19.5 felt lacking. My companions had the Mama's trio and said they both liked it ($26.5 each). The $5 side soup of tomato basil was good and the two $2 side salads were salads.

Terrible! I was excited because I thought Macaroni Grill went out of business years ago, and we skipped going to Bonefish Grill to come here. We should have left when we noticed they were not busy on a Friday night. The hostess couldn’t process that we had 3 people, then sat us at a dirty table. The waitress brought out olive oil for the bread, but no bread, then came back to the table numerous times empty handed, before remembering to get our drinks, and each time said “Oh. I forgot your _____.” They were out of iced tea…….and the waitress went as far as to tell us they didn’t even have any to brew, after coming back to the table multiple times forgetting to bring ……well….anything. We finally got some bread to go with the olive oil, which was a bit greasy, but was the best part of the meal. I ordered the Chicken Scaloppine. It was ok….not great. My daughter ordered the Mushroom Ravioli (pictured). She couldn’t eat it and instead ate some of my meal. My husband had a steak, which came out not even warm. I tried to convince him to send it back, but he didn’t want to take the chance of what the kitchen might do if you send food back. He ate it, but i will be monitoring for food poisoning. We didn’t complain to the waitress, because after bringing the food, she never came back to the table until we asked for the check. I understand now why all other locations closed years ago. This one should be closed too.

I am posting a very poor review because mainly of the manager's reaction to me and friend having to leave before our dinner was even served. We came in for Sunday night dinner, and most of the tables in the restaurant were empty. We had to wait for the hostess to come and notice us waiting. We were told there would be a wait because they needed to set up tables. The hostess should have been honest and said they were short-handed. Obviously, the tables did not need to be set up because we could see all the tables were empty and set up. We were finally seated, and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and get a drink order. We ordered 2 coffees, creamers, sugar and water with leomon. Again, we had to wait 15 minutes for her to return with our drinks. We were going to leave but she came over with our drinks and to take our dinner order. She did not bring the sugar, leomons, or bread! We had to flag down another server so our server would come back and deliver what we originally ordered. She finally brings out my soup and not my salad that comes with it. The soup was cold. It was not even warm. She obviously left it sitting in the window. We flaged the waitress down, and she said she would bring out hot soup right away. I am waiting for my soup and a table that was seated in another area at the same time, we were seated was half way finished with their dinner. We went up front and again, no hostess. We walked over to the bar and asked the bartender to get the manager. She comes over after some time, and we tell her what happened. She said we were heating up your soup and said we were being rude. What? because we got up and complained about the poor service?? She was the rude one. She does not even come up and say I am sorry for the slow service but comments we are heating up your spup. After being seated and ordering food, and a total 40 minutes later, the waitress finally showed up with cold soup. Who knows when my friend would have received the pasta she ordered. We had to complain because we were walking out the door without completing dinner. The manager was the very rude one! She could at least acknowledge that we were waiting much too long to get anything we ordered. We told her about the other table seated at the same time and they were eating their dinner....oh, that is being rude because we went up front to leave and complain?? This was the worst service ever, and the response from the manager was inappropriate and uncalled for. We will never go back to Macaroni...

If I could give no stars I would. We arrived before dinner rush time so they had 3 tables. And yet it took 15 minutes to get drinks and 45 minutes to get food after we ordered it. We were a small party of 3 adults 2 children. We finally get the food and haven't been offered any refills on our drinks. And one meal that was mainly chicken came out with chicken gristle strips that should have been put in the garbage. It was inedible and was placed at the end of the table for the waitress who ignored us trying to get her attention as well as the untouched meal that was obvious. Still no drink refill and finally the waitress decides to give us attention doesn't even acknowledge the untouched meal and she asks if we enjoyed everything and if we were ready to pay. We hand her the plate of untouched food and tell her to get that out of our way because it was inedible and that we wanted our check. She walks back talks to the Assistant Manager where they both get angry. We wait another 15 minutes for the check, and just as we consider just leaving some money on the table and leaving the General Manager finally comes out saying she doesn't understand how we could be unhappy with our experience. But that she would be happy to give us her card for next time to ensure we have good service. No offer of a gift card or comping meals nothing. We tell her we will never be returning and she tells us it is our loss. Puts an open hand out for the money on our bill doesn't even offer change, tells us to have a good night and walks away.

On top of all this as the time progressed from us being seated to us leaving more and more of the staff continued to join the others in the middle of the main seating area at a table to sit down and talk. The few that were supposedly working would yell across the restaurant to the group at the table to join in on the conversation.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant. Let alone one that's supposed to be a nicer sit down experience. Even McDonald's has better service than this...

Made a 7pm reservation on Friday June 10. Walked in at 7pm and many, many tables empty but a ton of people standing by the entrance waiting to be seated. I spoke to the older woman who was handling the hostess duties about the reservation and she said "It'll be 25 minutes". My girlfriend remarked how many tables were empty, so I thought I would talk to the bartender to see if we could either sit at the bar or at one of the bar tables. The hostess woman butted in and said "It is NOT open seating at the bar". I asked her "When do you think you'll be able to seat us?" and she replied "25 minutes", to which I said "Our reservation was at 7, not 7:30". At this point the woman began visibly shaking, and started saying that she had to seat people, wait tables, AND bus tables and that it would be 25 minutes. She was having a mini-meltdown right there for sure. She also lied, because the entire time we were there, she neither waited nor bussed any tables. However, this was enough to start a fight between my girlfriend and I, she kept saying "That poor woman!" and I said "Yeah but a 7pm reservation means that our table is supposed to be ready at 7pm, and she was being snotty to me and those other people, she's not doing her job". So our meal was ruined. I've eaten here about 300 times, have never had this issue. My review will stay at 1 star until I see that she's either fired or given training. Another couple walked in after us and wanted to sit at the bar, and this lady jumped all over them for it. The woman said "My husband and I can't get a drink at the bar? Why do you have a bar?" and this woman just kept repeating that there is no open seating at the bar. When my reservation came up to seat us, she called my name and I said "that's me" and the hostess woman said "No, that's a mistake" and then seated three other couples ahead of us!

Nico, our waiter, was efficient, friendly, and exacting. Honestly, it would've been a 5-star review if the lady up front didn't ruin it. The food and wine were...
