Norton’s knocked it out of the park with their Halloween pop up, Nightmare on Brew Street 🎃🕸️🍺🪦 #halloweenpopup #halloween #halloweencocktails #kansasrestaurants #downtownwichita
The Paradox SpotThe Paradox Spot
Last night we decided to brave the snow storm and try Nortons for the first time. Atmosphere: We loved the Christmas decorations and really enjoyed spotting some of the Halloween decor sprinkled in the mix. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor area but are definitely going to come back to check it out sometime(based on other reviews and pictures it looks really nice!) Food: First we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. Just your typical sliced fried pickles. A little greasy but I mean they’re fried soo.. lol •I had the beyond meat burger & fries. I prefer impossible patties over beyond meat, but I did enjoy it nonetheless. The fries were my favorite part of the whole meal. So crispy but with a soft inside. 10/10. •My husband had the chicken sandwich but grilled instead of fried. It does say on the menu that it’s best fried and we could kind of tell why. It was dripping so much liquid every time he’d pick it up to eat it. That was his only complaint and he liked it otherwise. Drinks: We didn’t try too many. Only two beers and two cocktails. Anarchy at the orchard was the best out of them all! If you like sours and cinnamon then you have to go get a glass. The cocktails were fine. Nothing spectacular but not bad at all. Service: Stephen(I believe that’s how he spells it) was our waiter. He was very attentive and did his job well. Overall it’s a nice spot to go have some drinks and food with friends! I definitely recommend.

While the location has a difficult mini game of finding parking, the building is an optical feast for the eyes. It was neat being able to see the large brewing kettles and all the kegs, and the tables were comfortable despite being the thick wooden variety. The names for the beers are also... Creative, to say the least, and the Weekend Lover was a very lovely sour, the nose filled with vanilla and a faint after taste of fruit. The food was good, however I did not care for my sandwhich, the Train wreck, as it was EXTREMELY sweet and over powered everything else. I'm not saying it was bad, not in the least, as I'm sure If you like sweet and savory sandwiches this will be up your ally, but this was a punch on the tongue. The BLT and Chicken Sandwich however were leagues better, and the quality of bacon and chicken they use here are substantially better than other shops. Fried pickles were competent, and the French fries were able to hold their own in terms of flavor and crunch. Will be back, but not for the train wreck. Also the musicians need an awning or cover in case of rain.

One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. We went as a large party (11) and were quoted 40-45 minutes. While we were waiting a few of us went up to the bar to sample and buy some beers while we were waiting. The beer selection is excellent and the bar staff was very friendly, which is one reason I'm giving two stars instead of the zero stars my experience deserved. Another reason I'm giving two stars is for the patio area. Lots of seating room, games, and a fun circle of swings. Last reason I am giving two stars is because of the decor. The owners have really done an amazing job with this place. The wooden chandeliers are too cool and the ambiance is very enjoyable. Back to the service. We got sat at around 55 minutes and got our first drinks and appetizers in. First round of drinks came fast. Our server was friendly, funny, and even accommodated some special requests due to a birthday at the party. Our appetizers came out quickly, but this is where things started going wrong. One of our appetizers didn't come. When the server was informed there was an appetizer missing he said "It's coming". More drinks were ordered, which were forgotten about and/or never delivered until asked for and refills had to be asked for as well during our long long long wait for food. Did I mention long? For some reason, 25 minutes after ordering, 2 dishes were delivered to our table. The missing appetizer that was "coming" had still not arrived. Thinking that our food was coming we all got excited and waited and waited and waited and....waited. Eventually we were told by a manager that the food was supposed to go somewhere else and our food would be coming. It came.....35 minutes later. Missing appetizer came a short time before. Not only did we wait almost a full HOUR for food, it came out COLD. Not a single hot dish on the table. Server didn't bring one persons food then blamed us cause "no one claimed it" yet not one person at our party heard him say a word about it. And if none of us heard him, didn't he write down our order and could see who ordered it? Another guest was given the wrong dish completely and another didn't have all the ingredients. There were also two dishes that were so cold the cheese didn't melt at all. There were obviously issues in the kitchen, but we were never informed of anything during our hour long wait. When we asked to talk to a manager, the same woman who told us the dishes delivered had went to the wrong table came out. She kept repeating that she "watched them leave the kitchen" in reference to the food being cold. After talking to her for a long while a second manager who had dark curly hair came out and made matters way worse, not only interrogating us, but attacking us. She made us feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable and unwelcomed. She was raising her voice and not listening to what we were saying. She went around and felt the bottom of our plates, and guess what? They weren't hot. We even told her we didn't want to talk with her because of the way she was treating us but she wouldn't go away. We were beyond patient throughout the ordeal, and at this point we couldn't take it anymore. We wanted to leave. There was no need for the second manager to come out and she made our experience way worse than it already was. Unfortunately, due to the two managers we encountered on this visit, none of our party will ever return or recommend...

This is regarding one manager that’s Not Sarah  But the other manager or so claimed manager on Thursday May 22nd 2025. We had a fun night. Wife was working on homework while daughter was playing on the playground until after 8pm where all kids are required to go inside. We did they played a game of cards then on the way out she called the cops 👮‍♀️ on us claiming that she had seen us drink and that we were too drunk to drive home. First of all there were other couples that had their kids there and did not have the cops called on them. My kid is African American  but common this is simply a singled out issue and racist to say the least. Common we’re in 2025 there really shouldn’t be any reason for this and not to mention we waited for the cops in the parking lot and they let us go. Hence to say we clearly were not intoxicated so this is purely a racism issue. I don’t know the name of the bartender that did this but I will be going back in there and getting the name and leaving it on another review so at least it’s transparent on the other colored parents that no Matter what or how much you spend in this establishment you will be singled out by an angry Caucasian woman who will call 911 on her own allegations. All I’m saying is that this is simply a racist establishment based off one manager. I’m a small business owner but this is simply ridiculous. Management please look...
