If youâre in the mood for a beach bar that makes you wonder if youâve stumbled onto the set of a quirky sitcom, look no further than The Dive. Nestled right where the sand meets the sea, this place has all the charm of a sunburned beach bum with a side of coconut-infused chaos.
The first thing youâll notice is the decor, which seems to be a mix of âtropical paradiseâ and âa sandy beach shack.â Thereâs a lot going on here, from the paper anchors to old surfboards that probably predate some of the current patrons. Itâs a visual feast for anyone who loves to feel like theyâre on vacation.
But letâs talk about the real star of the show: Brittani the bartender. With her dazzling smile and a flair for dramatic cocktail shaking, Brittani makes even the most mundane drink feel like a special occasion. Need a mojito? Sheâll whip it up with a side of witty banter. Want to try her signature âthe island girlâ? Be prepared for a drink so strong it might just make you question your life choicesâbut in the best possible way.
Service at The Dive is as laid-back as youâd expect from a beach bar, which is code for âBrittani might take a break to dance on the bar while you wait, but sheâll eventually get your order.â And if youâre lucky, youâll catch her spontaneous karaoke sessions, where she performs renditions of â90s hits with the enthusiasm of someone whoâs just discovered that theyâre actually good at it.
In summary, if youâre looking for a beach bar where the drinks are as wild as the decor and the bartender might just become your new best friend, The Dive is your spot. Just remember, if Brittani hands you a drink and says, âThis is an adventure,â buckle up and...
Read moreI wish I didnât have to leave such a low rating. But my experience this past weekend was enough to leave this review. I would say this place does have a fun atmosphere. But it is lacking with organization and professionalism. I arrived at the dive bar for the Getter after show party. I decided I wanted to get a drink before heading to the outdoor area. I stood waiting at the bar for over 30 minutes which is absolutely insane. There were two bartenders serving that night. At first, there was one bartender who was serving on the right side of the bar, but randomly switched to the left side abruptly. He also was also skipping me and a few other people who were waiting there while serving his friends who he knew that came up to the bar before serving everyone else who was waiting. After he moved to the left side, the other bartender served other people who arrived after us first. I even had someone who was behind me ask me to order his drinks in my order because he knew he was going to wait as long as I did just a beer. It was obvious how irritated the crowd was with how unprofessional the service was. I can get my drink at a busy and packed nightclub in a quarter of the time I spent waiting at...
Read morePopped down from the place we were staying upstairs on vacation on Memorial Day weekend from the OKC area to have a few drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic and the tropical/beach inspired drinks were super tasty! The two ladies working the bar were really great-they even cracked open a bottle of my favorite drink (absinthe) when I asked about it. The prices were great as well. This is a woman-owned business and you can tell itâs run with pride and commitment to providing a nice place to lift a few drinks. Definitely a place helping with the awakening of Douglas east of Washington. Weâll be back to Wichita again soon and this place is on the must visit list!
P.S. We didnât have food and I didnât ask if they served food, so thatâs why I...
