Unfortunately can't recommend this place anymore. Went there for my industrial 5 year ago before the change, and it was great but that guy isn't there anymore. Went in for a navel piercing a couple months back. I had done my research and knew it was an anatomy specific piercing and my anatomy was somewhere between a regular navel and collapsing navel so I figured the piercers would check and help me decide if I could do a regular one or a floating navel. The anatomy check at Wichita Piercing consisted of a quick glance at my navel while I stood. I even asked if he was sure, and if he needed me to sit to double check. He said no I could get a regular navel. At this point I should have left but I had already paid and I'm not a professional piercer so what do I know? 2nd red flag is that it was EXTREMELY painful, and navels are not supposed to be. 3rd red flag was I had to ask for aftercare instructions. Piercer was fully ready to send me out with no clue as to how to care for my piercing. Fast forward a week and of course it is super red and swollen bc the bottom of my navel kept pressing into my jewelry. Went to a different shop and the lovely piercer there informed me that I did in fact need a floating navel and that he didn't even fully get the jewelry into my navel so it was basically a surface piercing that would eventually reject. She removed it and since I have let it heal and have gotten the proper piercing. It's doing great now. The lack of attention and care at Wichita Piercing really shocked me especially since, like I said, they were really great when still connected to elwctrik chair. And if it had only been one of the many mistakes made with this piercing I would have probably let it slide. But the whole experience was bad and you can find more experienced piercers for far cheaper elsewhere. I hope when they see this review they can inform their piercers about proper...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can understand why people would be upset about pricing, it is a more expensive piercing bar however you ARE paying for quality. They have policies that help keep people safe and aid in the healing process. That being said for a double nose piercing I paid $160. To me, that is not an outrageous price. Iām literally paying someone to stab me, I want it to be done in a clean and safe way by a professional. I had a great experience, it was very quick and Natalie was thorough and explained the process. She was very sweet and professional. It was extremely clean, staff was knowledgeable about the jewelry and pricing. Helped me pick the right size and shape for my exact placement. They care a lot about helping you have the best healing process. They have really safe and sterile practices to guarantee you heal in the best way possible. Thatās why the post is initially very long, so it allows space for the swelling to subside. I know how uncomfortable it is to have a small post in a very swollen nose. As for returning for the jewelry change, yes it will have a fee. You ARE paying for a service. You HAVE to pay for peopleās time. As for having to purchase jewelry there, not being able to bring your own, thatās a liability and safety issue, they need to guarantee they arenāt putting you in any risk for infection, which could potentially fall back on them. You know, from using used or possibly used jewelry or very low quality metals. All in all, they provide a good, clean and reasonably...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place sucks. Me and my friend got industrials here and thankfully i had one done by Symbolic in the past so the scars served as a guide for the piercer. But my friendās piercing came out horrible. He used two needles to pierce itāone for each hole, and so the holes came out uneven. at first she thought the constant irritation and pain was normal because cartilage piercings can be like that, but as time went on i could wear hats, sleep on my piercing, etc. she couldnāt even touch it without tearing up. Thankfully there are experienced piercers in wichita and we went back to symbolic and justin informed us that the holes were uneven and the bars gauge was odd so it was never going to heal. Mind you, this was $120. She was going to try and do something about it but sheās gotten a piercing there in the past and the gem they provided her with had broken, but they said they couldnāt do anything about it because it was longer than 2 weeks. Def would go to symbolic if you want a cheaper and...
