Taqueria El Aztec is a delightful, authentic Mexican restaurant that's clearly a labor of love for its family owners. Specializing in birria, they offer a tantalizing array of dishes that showcase this traditional Mexican stew.

On our visit, we indulged in their renowned quesabirria, birria mix, and birria burrito, and each dish was a flavor-packed delight. The quesabirria, essentially birria-filled quesadillas, were particularly outstanding, perfectly combining gooey cheese with tender, savory birria meat. The birria mix was a hearty platter of various birria preparations, each showcasing different textures and depths of flavor. The birria burrito was generously stuffed and satisfyingly savory.

To wash it down, we enjoyed their refreshing watermelon juice, which was not only hydrating but also bursting with natural sweetness—a perfect complement to the rich flavors of the birria.

While our main dishes were superb, the tres leche cake left something to be desired. We found it a bit dry and the addition of peaches inside didn't quite match our expectations. However, this minor setback did not detract from the overall fantastic dining experience.
