So after a day of working outside on the lawn and shrubs I noticed an email ad for TGI Fridays take out. To that point I was not aware that they encourage take-out. Perfect. I was hungry, wanted something right now, and didn't want to have to get cleaned up to go to a restaurant when I still have more work to do.
I ordered one of the take-out specials: Parmesan-Crusted Chicken and Half Rack BBQ Ribs. Which included a choice of two sides I went with veggies for both side dishes. Super Veggies (steamed bok choy, broccoli, red peppers, sugar snap peas) Lemon-Butter Broccoli.
When I arrived at the restaurant, I went to the hostess stand and told her I placed an order online. My order came out very soon thereafter. It was a nice amount of food for the price. The items were well-packaged which made a decent presentation for takeout food. The ribs were tender and succulent. Veggies we're also excellent. My chicken seemed a bit overdone. ( really, that's the only thing that cost one star here). So the wind up is, the food was what I would expect from TGI Fridays, with the convenience of grabbing it on-the-fly and being able to get back to my chores. Much better than a burger from a drive-thru. I'm certain I will use this take out service again in the future . The chicken being overcooked might have been a fluke this time so I may update the number of stars at...
Read moreWent with my family today (8/10/24) and was served by Jasmine. The waitress from the beginning had an attitude. I requested a non-alcoholic drink that was shown on the menu and she made a problem of it because she had to ask the bar even though it was stated on the menu, but in the end all I got was a lemonade with fruit syrup. The whole entire time we saw her three times. She never dropped off any of our food apart from a water that a coworker was going to get for my boyfriend since she heard hee ask my boyfriend if he neededanything else. My boyfriend had the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta dish which did not taste right. He took two bites and pushed it aside. The waitress made an issue because he stated it did not taste right and did not want anything else. Her comment was that she has to take it from the table to take it off the bill. I wouldn't have cared if it stayed on the bill, but her attitude and comment was uncalled for because we never asked to have it taken off, he was just going to eat the side of mac and cheese he ordered extra. Well she went to the kitchen and stated that my boyfriend ate half and then didn't like it. Luckily we were next to the kitchen and she made no sign of being subtle about it. Our son was finished with his food and I was close to finishing mine so I didn't want to make an issue about her attitude. Not all the food was bad, it was just one dish, but the service from the waitress was distasteful. We have gone times before and never had that kind of service. She couldn't have dropped off that...
Read moreWe arrived at TGI Fridays around 7:45 p.m. on a Saturday night and were promptly seated. The restaurant was moderately crowded. Our server was pleasant and patient, as it took a while to decide what we wanted to eat. We eventually decided to dine on appetizers.
I had the Philadelphia Cheese Steak egg rolls, which I found very satisfying. They were large and filled with steak, cheese, peppers and onions. The crust was soft, yet still had a crunch to it. The egg rolls came with a side of queso cheese dip, which was very good.
I also had the whiskey-glazed sliders. One can order 2, 3, or 4 sliders, which rested on top of a bed of seasoned fries. The burgers were done to perfection, and each slider had cheddar cheese, pickle, and spicy aioli.
My girlfriend ordered a plate of green bean fries, which were battered and came with a side of wasabi ranch sauce. The beans were tender and the sauce was delightfully hot. She also ordered the pan-seared potstickers with a Szechuan dipping sauce.
All the appetizers were delicious, and proved to be a pleasant meal in itself. I haven't been to a TGI Fridays in years, and I was surprised to see a much scaled-back menu, but the quality of the food remains the same.
This is a time proven establishment, and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for something not off the...
