I called to see if they could help me with an order for staff appreciation for our local school. They brushed me off and told me to call catering. I called catering - they told me they couldn't help me because I was looking to order customized orders for the staff appreciation, not a catering-style order with pre-made burritos with fixed ingredients, or a buffet style order. I decided I would just order online, in small groups, so that it wouldn't be a massive order for the store to prepare all at once. I also diverted some of the orders to Qdoba since they open earlier and you can order online with a different future date for pickup.
I used the Chipotle website to place my first order, at midnight on the day of the order, since they don't let you choose a future date for pickup (must be same-day). The order was for about 11 orders. The website wouldn't take my payment, so I was stuck having to go inside and pay on pickup.
I used the Chipotle website to place my second order, just after the first. About the same number of orders, and...it took my payment without issue. The same payment method I tried for the first order.
I used the Chipotle website to place my third order, just after the first 2. About the same number of orders, and again it wasn't taking my payment method, so I had to go inside and pay on pickup.
Fast forward to pickup time. The first order was fine, but the person who picked it up said that they were told there was no third order that came into them. I tried to call them. They wouldn't pick up their phone.
I came to pickup the second order, and figure out and pay for the third order, and they tell me that they don't have my third order for 12pm pickup. I show them the order in my email, and in the app on my phone, and the confirmation number. They still can't find it anywhere. I confirmed it was for the correct location on my order details. My second order ended up being delivered late because of all of the headache I dealt with for the third order. I deliver my second order to its destination and come back for the third. Still no order. They tell me they ran out of chicken and it'll be 5 more minutes. 10 minutes go by, still no order. Now order 3 is late for delivery for staff appreciation.
Next time, I will save myself the trouble and not spend hundreds of dollars here, and just order through Qdoba. Chipotle was not worth the hassle.
I will say that despite the obvious and convenient disappearance of the manager at the time of this order issue, the crew still worked hard and did hustle hard to try and get it sorted out, put together, and out the door. Read moreBEWARE, YOU"VE BEEN WARNED: Walked up to the order counter and stood there, while a crew member cleaned the food area with a dirty cloth towel, which should have been my first warning to leave. Purchased two steak burritos, one for my daughter and one for myself after the guy finished cleaning the food area. While assembling the order, the crew member slathered the burrito with way too much rice and pinto beans and then turned the steak container upside down and poured all the grease and the little bit of steak from the bottom onto my burrito. My daughters was overflowing with too much sour cream and it was disgusting. After biting into the burrito, the bottom fell apart from the hot steak grease that had soaked through the burrito. Upon going up to ask for a new burrito shell with my burrito that had fallen apart, I was told in a loud tone by the female staff member "Don't put that on the counter!" I was brought out a paper bowl with a burrito wrap in tin foil by the same female crew member to our table. I told her "Tell your guy who built this that I didn't come to eat huge quantities of rice, pinto beans and grease". She just said "OK" and walked away, not caring or trying to rectify the situation. With that, I got up, left my uneaten food on the table and walked out the door. My daughter took hers and she ended up throwing it away. Read moreMy boyfriend placed an online order for pickup. We live less than 5 minutes away from the restaurant. When we got there, I waited 2-3 minutes max because there wasn't a bag on the shelf for names starting with T-Z on the bottom shelf. Our bag was on the middle shelf which was the incorrect shelf if they were going in alphabetical order by last name. When we got home and opened everything up, we were immediately disappointed; there was dried queso sauce on the side of the cup (despite the lid being on), the chips are stale and over-salted, and the queso sauce tastes like it was left out since 10:00 last night. The most glaring insult of all this: they managed to put my burrito on the bottom of the bag, my boyfriend's burrito on top of mine, and then his glass bottled beverage, the chips and dip, and my empty fountain beverage cup. My burrito had been squashed flat, and you could clearly see an imprint from my boyfriend's bottle. To add insult to injury, our burritos were barely warm, requiring us to warm them up. Lastly, they didn't label the burritos. My boyfriend and I got two different things, and he has strict dietary preferences. Somehow there was guacamole on the inside of his burrito wrapper even though his burrito did not call for it, so I thought it was mine - until I tasted the steak and black beans, but no guacamole.
