The place could use a deep clean, it seems there is random clutter around and a whole side room that is rarely used and used to store stuff, even though its clearly for dining. kinda takes away from the atmosphere as well as some really poor paint jobs. This establishment doesn't have air conditioning or heat, during the summer or winter. They bring in a stand alone AC unit to cool the place and fans and it's really unsightly. During the summer they have no heat and bring in heat lamps that are meant for outdoor dining which becomes unsafe because the space is tiny and if your sat or standing anywhere near one you have to be careful not to bump into them. It's just sort of unsightly and messy in there, and when I went to pick up my 72$ order, my food came in cheap boxes that they did not seal shut, they stacked them ontop of eachother unsealed, the to go boxes where collapsing in on eachother and spilling out of boxes into bag. And food was in direct contact with bottom side of box stacked ontop of it, this is unsanitary and a food safety concern considering we have no clue what and where the outside of a togo container has been in contact with. Once food is cooked to temp, nothing or no one should be coming in contact with food as this can create bacteria which leads to food born illnesses. This is unacceptable, if you have to cut corners to keep your business running and purchase the cheapest of everything including to go containers, and have to bring in ACs and patio heaters, you are not operating safely or with integrity. They seemed like they updated the floors or something, but the place instantly smelled of sewage when I walked in. Idk whats going on with this place lately because ive eaten here forever because generally food is great and wonderfully large portions, but I wont put my health at risk. I called requested a refund took pictures and brought it back to show them. If my money is not in my account in 3-5 business days I will be taking further action... Mind you i've lived in wilsonville for 20 years. I have eaten here since I was a teen because I could get pad thai for 10-12$ dollars it was me and my best friends favorite place to go because it was affordable and good, they have doubled the prices and I paid 72 dollars for 3 chicken pad thai and a sticky rice. It is absolutely not worth it at this point. And now noticing that they only have one functional bathroom and the place smells like sewage, and there are multiple reviews saying the same thing, I think will be making a report, because it's becoming a real safety concern. I was shocked that people actually choose to sit and eat in a dining room that literally smelt like human waist. But sure enough there were. I hope they...
Read moreVery good food and atmosphere, but the young wait staff was not very well trained. We asked to sit at a booth, and they gave us an un-bussed one. When the waitress came around, she noticed it was dirty and asked if we could move to another table while she cleaned it. She never did clean it, but came back to take out order about ten minutes later. We were looking at her like, "Are you going to give us the table back?" but she seemed to think those looks meant we weren't ready, as she offered to give us more time. Dumbfounded and a bit upset, we ordered our food, which ended up being great (as always); about halfway through the meal, she bussed the booth we originally were at for another couple. Not wanting this rude treatment to ruin our meal, we just tried our best to put it out of our minds. When we got the check, she was taking so long to come around to collect our payment that we had to go to the register and pay. She took our $25 bill and somehow charged the card for $45! When we pointed it out, rather than apologizing, she acted inconvenienced and asked for the card back. After having been already over-billed, my fiancee asked what she was going to do with the card, and the girl rudely responded that she was going to bill the correct amount, again not apologizing and not explaining if the $45 was going to be refunded, if part of it would be refunded or what. We hesitantly gave her the card back and she reversed the charge and rang up the $25 bill. We signed the slip (no tip!), left furious and have never since returned. It's too bad too, because we had really liked the food there the few times we'd gone before. They need to train their staff to be courteous, considerate of the guest and to treat their customers like they care; it doesn't take too many incidents like this before they are left wondering where all their...
Read moreFor the last couple years, Thai Village was my hidden gem, a place I would eagerly travel to from Salem for its high-quality food and affordable pricing. We used to spend approximately $30-45 for two people, including tip, which made it a great value.
However, recent visits have left me disappointed. Prices have increased significantly, and you can now expect to pay $45-55 without tip. This price hike, unfortunately, isn't justified by the current quality of food or dining experience.
On our last two visits, we noticed an unpleasant increase in the burnt or charred taste of our dishes. One incident was particularly alarming when a large piece of carbon from the wok almost caused me to break a tooth. This indicates that the woks are not being properly cleaned, resulting in a burnt taste in the food.
Additionally, the restaurant itself seems to be in need of repairs. The overall experience feels diminished, and paying more for a lesser experience is frustrating.
To the owner, please consider your clientele. As loyal customers, many of us are trying to support local businesses, but are also not made of money and unfortunately have to budget to eat out. The increase in prices combined with the drop in quality and the state of the restaurant makes it hard to justify returning here anymore. I do give props to the servers who were always very hospitable.
At this point, I recommend looking for other dining options. The increase in prices combined with the drop in quality and the state of the restaurant makes it hard to justify dining...
