D’Liras is hands down a South Florida gem—and it’s no surprise their croissants were awarded “Best in South Florida” by the Sun Sentinel.
The atmosphere is modern, inviting, and located right in the heart of Wilton Manors. Bonus points: it’s puppy-friendly, which makes it even better for a weekend outing.
Now let’s talk about the food. The croissants are, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had in my life. From pistachio to ham & cheese to crème anglaise, every bite tastes like Europe on a plate. You can clearly tell the chef trained abroad and brought back authentic French technique with a South Florida twist. Truly incredible.
That said, here’s where they lose some points: timing. They open at 10:30, but when the doors open, the croissants aren’t always ready. On my first visit, I waited nearly an hour for croissants (yes, a full hour!) and about 20 minutes for coffee. The iced coffees also came out a bit off—the powders weren’t fully blended and the chocolate shavings were ground too fine, giving them a grainy texture.
My advice? Pre-order, pick up, and enjoy at home or with your own coffee. That’s the sweet spot. Since doing that, every visit has been perfect and the croissants alone make it worth it.
Even with the wait, I’m giving D’Liras 4 stars because the croissants are truly next-level and absolutely worth the trip. If you’re in South Florida—go. Don’t pass go, don’t collect...
Read moreAs per usual whenever I find myself somewhere new I aim to find the best ice cream or gelato I can. I was in the area having visited a lovely restaurant close by (Palmyra Lounge) for dinner. As I was finishing up I searched for ice cream nearby and found D'Liras within walking distance and with a great score. How could I pass up the opportunity... I'm very glad I didn't!!
I've seen a few shops that specialise in ice lollies. I believe this is a Mexican style of ice cream called Paleta's. I had not however, tried many ice creams in this style before so I knew I had to give it a go.
I asked the server for a recommendation hoping to understand if there was a particular flavour the shop was known for, however he didn't really offer me anything except for asking what type of ice cream I liked. I decided to opt for the somewhat obvious choice of Pistachio but all said and done it was utterly delicious.
You have the option of adding chocolate sauce to it. It added something to the ice cream but not sure I'd opt for this in the future.
The store was lovely and clean and there were further options of baked goods and soft scoop ice cream. I would definitely come back but for sure I'd continue trying different Paleta flavours over the other options as I enjoyed it immensely!
Highly recommend this ice cream shop and I'm certain I'd return in the future when I'm back again...
Read moreThis ice cream spot is hands down my favorite place to go whenever I’m craving a sweet treat. The quality of the ice cream is always amazing, and the flavors are deliciously consistent. It’s definitely my go-to place for ice cream shopping.
That being said, I’ve noticed something a bit disappointing lately—especially when it comes to adding chocolate. The amount they add feels more like a light spray than an actual topping, and for the price, it just doesn’t feel worth it. I honestly wouldn’t mind paying an extra $2 if it meant getting a more generous amount of chocolate in my order.
Even though I love this place, it’s been a little frustrating to feel like I’m getting less and less each time. I really hope they start being a bit more generous with the toppings again, especially the chocolate, because I’d love to keep coming back without that lingering feeling of...
