Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar — Restaurant in Wilton Manors

This staff here is probably the WORST group of people I have ever encountered in my life. I frequent visited Alibi’s on Thursday nights because it use to be a quaint place to hang out and have a few drinks with friends however it apparently is now under new management and the new workers are rude and should not be allowed to interact with anything except swines or rats.

Last time I visited after a long night of drinking I decided to leave (which was around closing time). I existed through the door that leads to the outdoor sitting area. As I made my way to the front there was a ground of people who were also trying to leave. I was stuck in the ‘no standing’ area infront of the bar as I waited for the crowd to start moving again a waiter came to the back of the line and started yelling at the top of his voice MOVE! MOVE! YOU NEED TO MOVE! MOVE! My friend said to him we are trying to leave but there is a line. He then yelled louder I DON’T CARE YOU NEED TO MOVE! After which he got into my face and yelled MOVEEEEEEEE!!

Now I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t take being yelled at lightly. This is unacceptable and under any other circumstance I would have punched the person dead in the throat. When I told him to get out of my face and wait for the crowd to move he threatened to ‘throw me out and have me removed from the property” – ME, the guy who is trying to leave! He threatened to throw me out even though I was trying to leave.

So, if you want to yelled at and be threatened go to Alibi’s but as for my friends and I, there are several other bars in the area and I would rather buy liquor from Walmart than...

My boyfriend went to get me 1 drink and paid with a $20 bill and the bartender gave him back $3 and when he came back, he asked how much i had paid for the drinks we got earlier and I said $14, then he said the bartender gave me back the wrong amount. When he went back to ask.him the bartender said.he gave him a $10 bill and my boyfriend told him it could not be.possible as he only had $20's. Which I had given him over dinner an hour before . When he told me and I replied but you know you only had $20's. I went myself and asked the bartender very nicely becaue i had just taken the money out of the ATM and we only had 20's. He started yelling without a reason. I was not.going to argue for $10 but with his attitude made me ask for the manager. Which came and not even asked me what happened, he just counted the register and said it was fine. I told him I know for a fact we paid with a $20 bill but it was. The bartender needed it more than we did. After this incident , we were still planning to stay and have a good time with our friends. Another bartender that was in the same bar came and ask security to escort us out of the place, we stil had oue drinks full. We were not causing any type of scene. We dropped the case and we were still treated like delinquents, without any respect, not even an apology. A Horrible...

Alibi sent an automatic email asking for a Google review, well, unfortunately I don't think they'll like it. I brought friends for drinks while I got some grub and overall, MEH! The Lemon Drop Martinis were extremely weak, so my friend ordered his second "free" one at the bar and got it much stronger. I ordered both the Martinis so it would have been nicer if the second one was free rather than giving us 2 chips, but I digress. For food I debated several items, but ultimately decided on the special of the day/week, the jerk chicken and pineapple rice dish, asking them to hold the carrots and onions. Well, they managed to hold those two items, but ADDED bean sprouts, and also removed the Pineapple. The chicken was pretty standard and not jerk if you ask me... So I wasn't thrilled but I said nothing and ate some of it anyway. The final icing on the cake that lets you know management needs an update is the glass enclosed (locked) t-shirts for sale section near the bathroom. The shirts are an unfolded MESS! The thing is locked up, so there's no reason they can't be nice and tidy. I doubt Alibi will care, they're large and people keep coming, but honestly you guys could do better. Our hostess and server were friendly at least and thus tipped accordingly, but the kitchen/management do not deserve any of...
