Señor Tequila Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Winder

This place is probably in the running for worst restaurant I've ever been to. Visited last night because the parking lot always looks full and it had decent reviews. I think the parking lot is small and the staff takes up a good bit of it.. but anyways.. I'll start at the beginning.

We walked in and waited around 5 minutes before somebody even greeted us at the door. We made eye contact with multiple servers as they exited the kitchen. I was actually turning around to start to leave when a waiter unfortunately came over to greet us. Anyways, we get seated and we get chips and salsa and our waitress brings us drinks very quickly. That was the 1 good part of the evening. Our waitress gives us a "few minutes" to decide on an appetizer and didnt come back for almost 20 minutes. No refills. No order taking or anything. When she finally does return we put our app order in with our entrees. Waitress refilled our drinks then.

Food came out about another 20 minutes later, for some reason the app and main meals came out together too which was annoying but whatever. (We got the queso with steak and chicken so it should've been quick.) My order was missing a side of rice and the waitress took about 10 min to get that. This was the last time we saw her until we paid to leave. No more refills or anything.

Anyways, extremely poor service aside the food was awful. We thought we had the rona cause it all had no taste. The cheese dip was mostly made of water and grease. I managed to eat about 50% of my plate. The gf literally had like 3 bites and couldn't do it cause hers was so disgusting.

Waitress came back after another eternity and didn't ask us how anything was, luckily for her. But the best moment of us being there was when she finally brought back the bill so we could leave that disgusting place. A weird smell permeates the restaurant, there was trash and food all over the floor. Some drunk old guys were screaming about someone sh*tting their pants in a booth one time.

Oh and they served me food on a plate that had a crack in it. Not a surface scratch, but a crack you could slide a piece of paper through.

In short, DO NOT GO HERE and I'm still debating on calling the...

Señor Tequila Grill & Bar is serving up Mexican dishes with flavor and a smile! We weren't sure what to expect as the parking lot was absolutely full when we got there....Abt 7pm but walking through the doors, we were immediately greeted and after only a few minutes, were seated.

The place was packed and everyone appeared to be enjoying their experience. Our server was friendly, accurate, and quick. There was a long list of options in the menu for everyone and when the food arrived it was hot, reasonably portioned and flavorful.

While everyone and the food was amazing, there is only one suggestion....the ice cold air coming in from the front door found it's way into the dining area which made for some very uncomfortable and cold moments during the meal. Even blocking a little of that cold air could help the patrons stay a little warmer and the food temps less chilly.

Overall, this was a great Mexican restaurant... looking forward to...

Food is nothing short of delicious, what you'd expect from an American-mexican restaurant.. Been here twice so far and both times wasn't too fond of the servers (waitresses) after midway through meal they became less and less interested in assisting me.. I've worked in restaurant biz for over 15 years so yes I know ALL about customer satisfaction and the tipping scale. But when I eat out top scale starts out at 25% and depending on service from greeting to departing(to go boxes, cups, bags, bill, etc) if sitting patiently waiting for your waitress to return to the table to ask if everything is/was okay is wrong then where do I go right? Eye contact? Ignored. Being the LAST one the table? Ignored. Scooting all the way to the edge of the booth, with empty cup screaming "I'm thirsty!", bill folder standing up, and me making eye contact? IGNORED...* Le Sigh* * Gets up, walks to bar to receive service there* $10 tip on $34 tab, now down...
