Bought the lunch special of 2 cheese pizza slices with a salad on a Saturday. Antonella’s Pizzeria is located in a plaza typically packed in parking. I dined in and realized that this pizzeria is probably especially best for delivery or pick-up given the small size of the restaurant and crowded parking lot. The pizzeria has like 3-4 tables outdoors for 4 chairs each, and the almost same number of seating indoors. Pizza was fully cooked, hot, and had a super crispy crust.
CHEESE PIZZA: Antonella’s served thin crunchy crusted pizza. The pizza was great pizza for delivery and I pick 5 stars because that seemed to be the focus given the pizzeria’s setting. If I lived near, I’d pick-up/order delivery from here. However, I didn’t think the pizza’s cheese, tomato sauce, and crust were as flavorful as pizzas in other pizzerias that I have tried. I wouldn’t say it’s an all around stand-out pizza for dine-in for my personal taste. It’s thin crust, but not that soft New York foldable style. If you love crispy crunch crust and don’t care whether it’s authentic NY style though, then you’ll like Antonella’s
SALAD: Their salad options for the lunch special is garden or Caesar but up-charge for $1 or $2 (can’t remember) for other salads listed on menu like Greek. Just ask about them. I chose the garden salad and creamy Italian dressing. Ingredients lettuce and tomato slices were fresh; white onions definitely were good and didn’t have that strong sharp taste.
Customer service was decent, but not enthusiastic and just a little bit impersonal in the beginning. My server asked if I wanted lemon in my water which was good and was more friendly at the end. I would still keep overall 5 stars for pizzeria but 3.5 stars for customer service. The staff may have been busier with delivery/pick-up orders. Service time was quick, and my salad and pizza were served on glass plate which was nice and surprising. Food quality was...
Read moreEvery now and then you come across a place that is totally unassuming, not much to really look at, and tucked away in a place that is easily out of sight and mind. Then you walk in, and then you experience it, and then you realize this is what finding that rare gem must feel like...
Almost hidden in this short strip mall with tightly packed parking spaces, an unassuming and small mom-and-pop Italian joint and pizzeria is located. There are a grand total of four, maybe five tables inside with another three or four outside, the place is painfully small but not short on food quality, service, and just plain friendliness.
My wife ordered their shrimp rigatoni while I ordered the small Antonella's calzone. Her order of rigatoni came out piping hot with a pink sauce that was super delectable, whereas my "small" calzone was anything but small. We ordered side salads ahead of our meal with a lightly sweet house dressing we both enjoyed as well. For dessert we had the Italian Rainbow cake - it was moist, sweet without being overly, and just right-sized.
The service was spot on. I wish I could remember the waitresses name, but she was awesome. She kept our iced teas bottomless and was constantly checking in at the table to make sure we had no want. The rest of the crew, from the greeter (who was super cheerful) to the cooks, to the manager all made the experience fun. The kinda place you want to come back because you are treated well and sincere.
The place is truly a diamond in the rough but one that you can enjoy and be...
Read moreThis is a review strictly as a business, not in the service or the food, because honestly we don't know and never will. The person in charge of this business called us to open his business because he did not have the key, we immediately sent him to the technician, when the technician was 3 minutes away from arriving This person calls him to tell him not to go because someone was going to bring him a key. In this type of situation there is a Service call fee because the technician is already less than 5 minutes from arrival. The customer is informed that the cost would be $45 and he offers $30 to the technician alleging nonsense, however, the technician agreed. The technician finished arriving as agreed and the person receives him giving him $25 dollars. What we mean is the lack of respect, the lack of empathy about the tasks and the work of another person. The technician left without accepting the money due to the lack of respect of this person towards his time and work. The commercial values of this business are of a very low level, respect for another company does not exist, the time of another human being has a value and must...
