Sultan Saray Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Tashkent

I was there with my aunt at about 3pm. I initially wanted the food packed but decided to sit instead. We sat at the front part of the restaurant, with sofa n tables. Right in front of the door n very visible. I called a young waitress in uniform telling her we would like to order. As they don't understand English I just pointed to the picture of pilov rice. She nor any of her colleuges smile nor acknowledged our presence as customers . She left after I showed her what I wanted. No asking of any other order or our drinks. She was seen chatting with her colleauge friend. Aware i was waiting for her. Errr....excuse me! I called her again nicely but was totally ignored . I called another waiter n he too ignored me. What! He came after my 2nd call. Showed the rice menu n before I could say my drinks n other orders he left . I called another waiter, a tall young man, again showed him the rice. Then he looked at the waitress that first attended me, she came over n just told me there were out of rice .She left. Oh my God. Is it that u guys don't want me as your customer? Is it that we looked like we can't afford your fancy place? Sorry for not wearing diamonds n Chanel to get decently served. Btw,I was there the evening before with a formal office group n the services was super duperr nice . The group were all men n with suits . Discrimination?...

I went their with my family a few days ago. We ordered lentil soup (чечевичный суп) and tongue soup. So lentil soup was ok, but we didn't like the taste of tongue soup. We ordered some salads like greek and fried vegetable, they were ok. As a final meal, we ordered lamb chops and ground shashlik. Lamb chops were kind of tasty, but ground shashlik was overburned and not tasty. Pide was served as last. Unfortunately it didn’t taste good either. Prices are quite high and I think the meals we tried are not worth for those prices. But the place is quite comfortable and good. Staff is also nice. There are also small playground for kids. No wonder this place has bad reviews. I was told not to kiss my husband in this "restaurant" so instead of telling guests what to do make sure you have dishes that are on the menu. We tried to order 6 different dishes and were told that they are not available, each order took like 5 minutes of our lunch time to find out they don't have it. So we spent overall around 1,5-2 hours in this horrible place with poor service, the waiter did not even know what's available to serve. Administrator started to argue with us instead of apologising so we had to finish our dining asap since we did not want to stay in this not welcoming place. WORST EXPERIENCE. WOULD NOT...
