Bún Chả Hoa — Restaurant in Hà Nội

My local friend took me here and said it’s good value for the money but not necessarily the best he’s had. I agree - most pork pieces were very flavorful, but a couple pieces had stale off flavors. The portion size is very generous. At 35k it’s cheap even by local standards.

At noon you may have to wait a little bit to get a table. One of the ladies was oddly rude to my friend, she told him they were out of vegetables and to eat the leftovers on the table (from the people previously sitting there). It was very weird. A different lady ended up bringing out the vegetables...

The best Bún Chả I have tasted in Hanoi located at the corner of the T junction about 200metres away from the railway track. With canvas as makeshift shelters, they set up their grills and tables. The crowd had subsided by the time we went at 1:30pm and we easily found a place. The pork was grilled to perfection which glistened when soaked with the soup. 35,000₫ per bowl. Friendly owners too. I am bewildered that this place has less than 5 stars. I traveled through Vietnam for an entire month and there wasn’t a single Bún Cha out there that came even close to comparing. I even heavily contemplated going back to Hanoi just to eat this Bun Cha again.

I will return to Hanoi for this Bún...
