La Sinfonía Citadel hotel and Spa — Hotel in Hà Nội

8 December 2024: What a gem! 5 star service! If I could add more stars, I would. The perfect blend of great food, excellent service, and a stunning ambience. The warm, friendly atmosphere made it feel like we were at home. The location itself was also ideal. It's near many attraction areas. Perfect place to stay. Highly recommended to stay here!

(i) The hotel provides excellent service. The services from the staff exceeded my expectations. They were friendly, helpful and respectful. All the crappy reviews are from the locals so I wouldn't trust them. Their intention to bring the hotel's rating down so as to tarnish the reputation of the hotel is based on their personal grudge and very immature. The staff are not the problem, just the people with bad attitude.

(ii) When we arrived, we were greeted and they helped with the luggage. We were seated with welcoming drinks and snacks while they prepared our paperwork. We were enjoying the tea and the peanut snacks. Knowing that I loved the peanut snacks, Nam brought more to my room. How thoughtful and that gesture won my heart.

(iii) On our last day, Nam gave us a little token of appreciation. One of them were the peanut snacks. He remembered that that was indeed my favourite snack in Hanoi. I was moved and touched by the efforts they made. Never had this special gestures from other hotels.

Lobby of the hotel is cozy and very clean. The colour theme is monochrome and has that vintage feeling and the ambience is just perfect.

(i) Cleanliness is so important to me and the room was indeed clean. It is spacious. Love the whole cozy look. Toilets were spacious.

(ii) The cleaning lady cleaned my room daily. It was a superb standard of cleanliness. I was just loving the clean room.

(iii) The beds were so comfortable. No smell of musty on the beds or pillows or even the room.

Breakfast was a small spread but more than enough to fill my tummy a little too much haha. It was easier to choose what to eat. Big varieties can be confusing. The menu changes daily. I love their breakfast menu.

Food at the restaurant is delicious. Not expensive like many other hotels. Very affordable. The Vietnamese Beef Stew is a must to try. I am drooling now.

The service at the restaurant was fantastic. Very helpful and respectful. I just love them all. People in Hanoi have been so warm and welcoming. So having that in this hotel and out, I am not missing home (Singapore).

I'm in the middle of my stay here. I felt the need to write as I've got nothing but praises for these warm people and I needed to get the excitement out of my system.

13 December 2024: Updating after my return. I am definitely missing the hotel and their service. I have shared some pictures for you to see before deciding. My review is an honest one.

I do want to add that the staff take their time to have a chat with you whenever possible. Even updating me about the weather because I wasn't prepared for the sudden change in the cold weather. They used a map to show me the attraction areas around and away from the hotel.

Last but not least, this is a wonderful hotel to stay in. Best choice ever for me and my son. They have room service, spa and a sky bar.

Housekeeping was meticulous and efficient, as evidenced during checkout when the staff conducted a thorough check of my room and promptly returned an AirPod I had accidentally left among the bed linens.
