When I Google'd best bahn mi in Hanoi, this came up, and coincidentally it was very close to the very established Bahn Mi 25. Curiosity got the better of me, so I thought I'd give this place a try. I have was greeted by friendly members of staff, we had a nice chat. They explained they're a new business and have been open for only 2 months (at time of writing) and they're from Saigon, affiliated with one of the best bahn mi businesses there, being My Bahn Mi, which has lots of Youtubers going on about it, though I never had the time to try it myself. So if this place is as good as My Bahn Mi in Saigon, then no doubt these people know what they're doing. Question then becomes, can they chip away from the Bahn Mi 25 customers, as that has a long queue almost everytime I walk past it (consisting of mainly tourists). I ordered the beef bahn mi and opted for spicy sauce. It being 89k, double the price of the standard beef bahn mi at the nearby Bahn Mi 25, but this is double the size and quadruple the quantity of beef, and it's sirloin, so you get what you pay for and then some. I poured the chilli sauce into the bahn mi and demolished it, loved it very much, made very well. The chilli sauce was amazing, never had anything like it in Vietnam, as this is probably more for South Asians, as its quiet strong. Would I recommend this place ?? Absolutely!! How this can differentiate itself from Bahn Mi 25 is ? This is premium bahn mi spot but not at premium prices considering the physical size is double along with the meat quantity (and quality).
Review update: So I decided to go there again the day after my first visit (because I loved it that much). This time I got the Chicken Lemon Grass, with the same chilli sauce, and it did NOT disappoint nor fall short, they use succulent chicken thigh instead of breast due to the texture of chicken breast being hard, and it worked like a charm. Posted images below for the chicken bahn mi. Review update: I went there again, wanted to try something, and this time I got the Bahn Mi with cubed beef, and imo this is probably the best way to have bahn mi, where the meat isn't sliced so tightly nor grounded. It was incredibly good and would return...

Ha Noi kid's fusion or special black hair asian service ? Take note, might get different service each time depending on staffs, and maybe your skin colour?.. ..Ordered some side dishes, however took longer than 20 minutes so informed counter staff to cancel and walk off at 1245pm . 6 December 2024. Slightly confusing and dissappointing experience this time round. Egg coffee not even served after 20 minutes waiting after order on ipos.vn menu. Other customers were served drinks first. Maybe if lucky might get a good service. Not judgemental but this time round, not recommended. Totally different experience from other times visited. "Was informed by a male staff from the counter that the annatto tofu dish cannot be served in a bowl". Everyday your menu differs for customers? what a funny service standard encountered....please fix this, no one comes to a restaurant to eat side dishes mixed and served on a piece of paper...what is the difference from the market or street food served on a paper with no tofu sauce...had to walk out without taking anything from restaurant. come on boys, is that your better shots ?.. . . . . .Kính gửi chủ nhà, vui lòng giữ cầu thang sạch sẽ. Read moreI really don’t understand how youtubers continue to rave about the banh mi in vietnam. It’s truly a joke. I can make better banh mi myself. I grew up in orange county california (Anaheim) near little saigon. had so many banh mi as a kid and as an adult in orange county. I had reservations about the validity of all the youtubers raving about how wonderful the banh mi in vietnam. My personal opinion is that little saigon in orange county california has better banh mi. “Banh Mi #1 Bon Mi - Vietnam’s Original Banh Mi” is the worst we have had so far in Hanoi. Absolutely no standards. We ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi and a beef banh mi. Both sandwiches have no taste whatsoever. there’s no lemongrass taste. it had a bad smell to it and tasted horrible. the beef was the same. absolutely zero flavors. it’s like they grilled it without adding any spices or salt. just tasteless. the pricing was three times that of banh mi 25. banh mi 25 was better but still not great. disappointed in my home country’s attempt towards the banh mi made famous by vietnamese american in...
