A Major Disappointment – Do Not Be Misled by the High Ratings
I always go out of my way to support Muslim-owned businesses, but unfortunately, Kachi Restaurant in Hanoi was a huge letdown. This is not a proper restaurant — it’s more like a cramped, poorly maintained hole-in-the-wall with zero atmosphere. The place smells strongly of mothballs, has no real seating comfort, and feels extremely amateurish in its operations.
We made a long trip expecting something special based on the glowing reviews, but the food was utterly forgettable — bland, lacking quality, and served with little care. There’s no ambience, no space, and frankly, no reason this should be rated 4.9 stars.
I highly recommend sorting the Google reviews by "Lowest" — everything mentioned there rang true for our experience. You're far better off dining at any of the well-established Indian restaurants in Hanoi and choosing vegetarian dishes if you're seeking halal options. Don’t let the halal label fool you into settling for mediocrity — this place simply...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Kachi Kitchen in Hanoi, and I must say, it was an extraordinary gastronomic journey. The restaurant offers a delightful fusion of Indian, Vietnamese, and other delectable cuisines, all prepared with a touch of homeliness that makes you feel right at home.
The team of chef is very good at what they are serving especially with hand built Tandoor kitchen. Lady Boss, Chi, adds a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the establishment. Her well-spoken demeanor and genuine hospitality from her multinational team make you feel like a valued guest in her restaurant. If you’re missing some grocery that you are not able to locate here in Vietnam, you might find it here to purchase at a price. This personal touch truly sets Kachi Kitchen apart from other dining establishments in Hanoi.
I wholeheartedly recommend Kachi Kitchen for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience away from home with a unique blend of flavors and exceptional service.

Read moreA hidden gem, away from the main street is kachi kitchen. The food tastes authentic and the prices are quite affordable. Not to mention it's fully halal certified.
This is their main branch, they also have another one in old quarters as well but this one is by far the best in terms of menu variation and taste.
I would have given 5/5 but I was a bit disappointed as they have ran out of noodles of pho ba. Which is unusual since this is Vietnam and such a popular dish. This was my last night in Hanoi and I had to be substituted with a thinner but still delicious noodles that is not the original pho. However the broth is just as nice, I'm just being very picky.
We met the owner kachi, she is a lovely lady and has a chat with all her customers. Definitely a nice experience and will come back whenever...
