I was looking forward to eating at this hotpot place. We have done hotpot back at home so I am familiar with how it works. This was the worst experience in Vietnam. The guy who waited on us did absolutely nothing. He didn't give us a basket to put noodles in the pot which ok, no big deal. We had to ask him for a ladel (scoop spoon with no holes) , plates, NO TONG, etc. We ordered some dumplings which we never received. We weren't charged for them but upon receiving the bill they added a water. Which we never bought. When confronting our waiter he said it was because I brought my water in from outside. I never even drank out of the water when I was there. My husband and I ordered 2 soft drinks from the establishment. I can read people very well and I could just tell that these people were trying to screw us. Thank you for giving us a bad experience. I hope you treat foreigners better next time. It's a real shame. My recommendation, DO NOT GO TO...
Read moreAs newbies to hotpot, we decided to try out this place in Hanoi. It looks very cozy, but the food and the service are what exceeded our expectations. We ordered the vinegar hotpot for 2 people (but you can almost eat with 3). Some veggies, good quality beef and noodels. The taste was very balanced, leaving a nice party of flavours behind on our taste buds. However, the service. As I said, we are newbies, and they saw us looking to the pot like we were a bit unsure what to do. This moment we almost got our personal cooks. They showed us how to handle the beef, noodles, showed how to make specific fresh springrolls with the pot ingredients and instructed us when the tofu skin was ready. They also refilled the broth when it was running low. And all this without communicating in English, they knew exactly what we needed. Totally recommend this place to enjoy some very good...
Read moreWOW. I’m still drooling over the broth here!! It was definitely one of our top memorable dinners in Hanoi. This place is perfect for hot pot on a cold evening (includes indoors/upstairs balcony dining) & happened to find it near our hotel as my family was craving a hearty lâu dinner. We ordered a split pot of half vinegar / half spicy broth and our meats a la carte, however there are combinations if you’re uncertain on what to get. The single pot was enough for 4 people as they refill the broth as needed and about 5 plates of beef plus 2 orders of veg filled us up. One surprise was the “tofu with cheese” which ended up being a fish cake but tasted phenomenal. The house dipping sauce (made with shrimp paste) was also very tasty. There are clean restrooms and it is very spacious. I’d recommend if you...
