Update my review:
Nov 2020: I ordered only 4 dishes for 4 people & a fruit bowl. Split the bill, it's just 100k for each of us which sound awesome economically whereas still feeling full.
They changed the menu a bit every 4 months so the noodles was different with last time and luckily, it was still good, very Vietnamese. The vegan meatballs make me think of Vietnamese chả mực and I think it's the best part of this bowl. The sour broth is perfect when adding a piece of chilly. I love all the combination on this dish.
The fried spring rolls dont make me feel oily at all. Must be something magic here? They told me there're 2 layers for the rolling (vỏ bánh) - the usual noodles paper (bánh đa nem) & bò bía. The sauce with it is also very different with the sauce at other restaurants for this kind of this. It's thick and flavourful.
The pomatoes dish is a bit boring though it looked so tempting from outside.
Feb 2020: The new location is great. It's larger and added may decorations and tree. I lke the outdoor seating because It's cool to have a dinner there.
Jan 2020: I was surprised when I was back this time. The restaurant has a new menu with more food options- adding more Western vegan food. If you eat there at night on weekends, you'll have free live music from other pubs nearby. On weekdays, it's quite peaceful. The price now is up though the food portion is still same. Like last time the Vietnamese noodles would be 50 or 55k, but now it's 65k.
🙅♀️Last time, I wasn't into yellow curry with mango, it seem to be too sweet for me. The combo Vietnamese style was too simple and it's like its name - just 3 piece of fried tofu stuffed with veggies. The tofu lotus mushroom soup was bland, and there was a simple salad and brown rice. I'll check them again soon.
🙂 The drink menu seems better and very friendly healthy drinks.
🤦♀️ It's still an inconvenience when the staff is only on 1st and 3rd floor whereas the customers on the 2nd floor want to ask for something like sauce, new order. They should have a bell or something which can help customers communicate with the staff without leaving the table. Yeah, I'm in the middle of my meal,I don't wanna leave my table just to call you, I pay for the service so you should present when we need. .. In sum, I think i only come back here the 4th time when I...
Read moreWe went here for a dinner last night. After all the good reviews we expect a good food. And maybe food wasn't very bad (noodle soup because this pizza is a joke) however service is terrible. We order a sweet potato chips, noodle soup and pizza. My noodle soup come quick and was hot. Just after that the same lady bring pizza for my partner ( he was washing his hands in the toilet) and... She take out because she done mistake and she served that for table next to us. After that my partner was waiting next 25 min for his pizza at this come cold! Sound like a big joke. I almost finish my food and he just received his one. From ordering to our living time was more the 1h. Our starter/ chips never came. We ask twice and somebody said "is coming" but never did. They delayed that from our bill so we didn't pay for the chips. Also the ordering is coming thru some phone system and if you want swapping something because you are allergic it is important. I tryed swap rice for a noodle(side not in a meal) or order extra noodle on the side but they said I can't do it. They dont do it and no. Most of the meals in menu have a rice or avocado so if you are allergic I will recommend look for different...
Read moreLovely place. We arrived a bit warm and were immediately taken upstairs and the aircon put on. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and instead of hovering over us we weren't rushed into choosing our food and there was a bell for when we were ready. Food came quickly which was great considering how hungry we were.
A couple of areas that could be better: my daughter (who has a big appetite) ordered the breakfast falafel, which was 2 very small pieces of falafel with 2 small buns. I know this was on the breakfast menu, but a picture might have helped us to see this wouldn't be enough for her. Also, the falafel was a bit on the bland side. It should be full of spices. I ordered the yellow mango curry and my son ordered the meatballs. Both of these meals were plenty big enough, but again especially the yellow curry, which should be a festival of flavour, was a bit on the bland side and could really have done with way more cumin, coriander and turmeric. Overall enjoyed my experience and the size of the falafel and the level of flavour are easily fixed considering how well the dishes are constructed and the freshness of the...
