The food was delightful, the pizza had a pleasant and rich flavor, with a beautifully puffed crust. However, the inside was slightly soggy and undercooked. My husband and I run a pizza restaurant in the U.S., so I couldn’t help but notice these details. Nonetheless, the staff and management kindly offered us a discount because of this, even though it wasn’t their fault (the chef just needed to leave it in the oven for 20 more seconds to achieve a perfect pizza), and we truly appreciated their kindness.

But what truly warmed my heart, beyond the food, was the service. The restaurant was bustling during the holidays, and we understood if there were no available seats. When we arrived, there was only a young girl with blue hair managing everything. She was darting from table to table, clearly exhausted, but still giving her best effort. She even cleared a table just for us and ensured we had the coziest spot.

Her warmth and professionalism were remarkable. She spoke English so well that I was surprised to learn she had only started learning it after joining the restaurant. Her effort to connect with us was heartwarming: she patiently inquired about our dining preferences, carefully explained the ingredients, and even suggested a half-and-half pizza so we could enjoy various flavors without being overwhelmed by the portions. Every moment with her felt sincere, as if she genuinely cared about making our evening special.

I wish I had asked for her name, but she was so busy that I didn’t want to trouble her further. She left a very warm impression on both me and my husband. We didn’t bring enough cash to tip her that night since it was our last night in Vietnam, and honestly, I still feel guilty about it; she deserved more. She truly made our evening unforgettable.

If I could, I would give this service 10 stars just because of her. Please, give this wonderful girl a raise, she truly deserves it! She turned an ordinary night into one we will...

Firstly this review was not influenced or requested by Pizza Belga like so many places have requested me to do so far, My partner and I just had dinner here because I was craving some western food after 10 days of the amazing local foods. Pizza Belga did not disappoint but exceeded our expectations, we had the goats cheese salad which was surprisingly amazing and one of the best salads we've had to date! The pizzas are traditional wood fired, the dough is cooked perfectly as far as I'm concerned and has the right amount of char. We had the garlic bread with pestos (which is a meal in itself), a standard margarita and 1/2 hot honey & half Rafaello with buratta. All round sensational and flavourful, probably didn't need to add the buratta as they would've been stronger with out it but that was my choice, Also didn't need an additional pizza or garlic bread but my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Had the cheesecake for desert which again was well balanced and we'll flavoured. I had a few glasses of the red wine on menu which paired very well with the food we had, my partner had the Banrock Moscato which was a welcome surprise for her as we're from Australia and it's one of the few wines she knowingly enjoys. All round service was pleasant and attentive, we were on the second floor which cut out all outside noise very well. All in all incredibly impressed by everything a restaurant has to offer. Will definitely be back before we leave Hanoi in...

Good pizza and I appreciated the little dish of olives I was given upon ordering.

Service was very inattentive. Don't know why I was seated and then ignored until I had to shout across the restaurant to get someone to come and take my order.

Also don't know why I was warned against adding anchovies to my pizza: "Are you sure? It will be salty." Yeah, I know. That's why I'm asking for them. Why even have it as an option if you are going to discourage it when people ask for it?

I was eating alone, so when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands after eating, I came back to a cleared table, including the glass of wine I had only half drunk. Fortunately they hadn't poured it out yet and I got it back (would have refused to pay for it if I didn't) but this kind of ruined the experience for me even though the food was good. Paying attention and a simple act of communication would have avoided it: "Have you finished?" It's not like I had paid the bill by that point so why assume?

Overall, good pizza, clean place with a nice atmosphere, but basic training is lacking for staff. On the plus side they were polite and apologetic but it's frustrating when the thing they had to apologise for was so easy to avoid in the...

My wife and I saw this pizza place as a change from eating Vietnamese food for the past four weeks. It was a disappointment. We were seated outside immediately and were able to order two Belgian-style Vietnamese craft beers rather quickly. We also ordered a delicious goat cheese salad. We had the pizza with prosciutto ham. Even though the edges were thick and fluffy the bottom of the pizza was thin and undercooked. We had to roll up each slice like a burrito to eat it. Greens were used to fill out the lack of cheese. It was a very mediocre pizza. The worst part of our dining experience was the complete lack of service. The only time we saw a server was when food was brought to us. No one checked on our meal or if we wanted a drink refill, for us or anyone else seated outside. The waitress acted like we were a burden. Very UN-Vietnamese. To make things even worse, there was a fat rat running around our dining area, which caused my wife to lose her appetite. For 2 craft beer, a salad to share, and a medium pizza it cost us 710,000 Dong (about $30.11 US)! That's the most expensive meal we have had in Vietnam, in several cities. Skip this place, the food and lack of service are not worth it.

In response to your reply to my review, it's obviously necessary to make the following points to clear up what seems a massive misunderstanding. Thank you very much for clarifying that your "prices are the way they are since the mozzarella, flour, tomatoes & wood fired oven materials all come from Italy", that your customers appreciate your products for authentic Neapolitan pizza and that you "don't want to compromise with a cheaper but altered local version it". Firstly, if you read my review, you'll notice that I didn't mention that I had ordered your pizzas before. Secondly, I merely referred to my surprise when i saw the extremely high-priced food items on your menu. Thirdly, I did notice a few discounted items, but it still was very expensive compared to other authentic Italian pizza restaurants that I've seen in Hanoi. I appreciate you thanking us for visiting you and for wishing us to have a nice trip in Vietnam. I wish you all the best for the future! ORIGINAL REVIEW They serve some of the best coffee that I've had so far in Hanoi! There are a few reasonably priced items on the menu, but the majority of the food is extremely expensive for a pizza restaurant.

I visited Belga twice within 2 days. The first night, at 9pm, most restaurants on the streets were near their closing time. We walked past Belga and we thought, it looked quite nice. Let’s try our luck! We ordered a carbonara pasta 230,000 VND, spicy burrata 370,000 VND (the wood-fired pizza was incredibly delicious!), 2 glasses of wine 120,000 VND each, a tiramisu 130,000 VND (the mascarpone cream was really good!). The next day, before our flight, we decided to go back there again for lunch because their food was that unforgettable! Even though, it is a bit strange to love a non-local food that much in Vietnam. We ordered a prosciutto pizza (they were very generous in their prosciutto ham that made the pizza really tasty! On the menu, it was named as Rucola Parma 310,000 VND), a cappuccino, a chocolate tart 100,000 VND (the dark chocolate was superb!), 2 juices, and a chocolate croissant. Overall, I am so impressed with the quality of ingredients they have used that I am curious about the culinary background of the boss.
