Wish I saw these reviews before I booked. Despite having booked almost a year before arrival AND confirming my reservation multiple times with the hotel throughout the year since booking, when I arrived after a full day of flights I was told that they couldn’t find my reservation additionally, after confirming my reservation 4 days ago they offered me an airport transfer but then ignore my messages for 4 days trying to confirm the transfer. So I got my own taxi from the airport. As we were waiting for the employees to figure it out, another guest came in complaining about the penthouse room - which he already paid for - being triple booked which required him and his family to stay in Two downgraded rooms this guest told us that the hotel told him the penthouse room had some maintenance issues but he actually managed to break into the room and saw clearly that there was another family there. Not maintenance issues. Also huge red flag about the hotel security. when we finally got our room, it smelled of damp mildew, we found a bug, the wifi didn’t work (some guy came up to try and fix it but it was spotty at best; Instagram and tiktok won’t load), we were concerned about safety of our things since apparently it’s easy to break into rooms, and the room just looked old/unclean.
Do yourselves a favor and don’t book here. After everything we saw and heard, We walked to the Sofitel and just booked a room there for the rest of...

Was welcomed with a fresh towel, a cold glass of lemonade and a banana.
The hotel is clean. It smells nice. And, unlike other hotels I have stayed at in Hanoi, I have not spotted any cockroaches.
The room is spacious enough for two. The bed is large. However if one person moves, the other person can feel the movement / moves with. The mattress and pillows are quite hard.
The airconditioning unit works well. It has a low volume setting for when you are sleeping.
The shower and toilet work well. The water pressure in the shower is not great, but the water gets very hot quickly.
The room is somewhat soundproofed. You cannot hear outside noise. You can, however, hear people outside your room (e.g. waiting for the lift) very well.
Breakfast is served downstairs and is similar to the breakfast offered at other Old Quarter hotels. You can have pho, eggs, pancakes (banana/pineapple) or french toast. They also serve some fresh fruit, like watermelon, passion fruit and banana.
Very happy with this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
I have realised a lot of the reviews on Booking are not (entirely) truthful. The photos do not always match the rooms either. So, I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.
The receptionist was also nice enough to point out interesting sights for me to see and where to go for shopping /...
