### Academic Rewrite in English: The Phenomenon of Mót Hội An – An Exploration of Tradition and Innovation in Vietnamese Beverages Situated at 150 Trần Phú, Mót Hội An distinguishes itself not merely as a beverage outlet but as an emblematic instance of Vietnamese culinary heritage intersecting with modern flair. Commonly referred to as "nước chanh sả" (lemongrass lemonade) or the colloquially termed "nước sang chảnh" (luxurious drink), this herbal concoction has garnered favoritism amongst visitors seeking the tranquil ambiance of Hoi An. #### The Conceptualization of Mót Hội An Mót Hội An exemplifies rural simplicity and the inherent essence of Hoi An’s populace. Its primary concoction incorporates ingredients such as lemon, ginger, lemongrass, chrysanthemum, dried lotus leaves, green tea, and honey, functioning cooperatively to detoxify the body and enhance health. This beverage, rooted in the century-old family recipe An Thái Ông Thầy Tải - 100 Cường Đế, delivers a distinctive, rich flavor unmatched elsewhere. The allure of Mót extends beyond its palatable zest and affordability to its aesthetics. The beverage is meticulously garnished with lotus leaves and seeds, showcasing the artistry of its creators and contributing to its irresistible visual appeal. #### Etymology and Origin The epithet "Mót" derives from the familial nickname of Nguyễn Hữu Xuân, a proficient youth of the 90s who conceptualized and introduced this novel beverage to Hoi An's tourists. Opting for "Mót" as the brand name for ease of remembrance, Xuân's venture has since enjoyed wide acclaim and support from a diverse clientele. #### Distinctiveness of Mót Hội An Mót Hội An's uniqueness lies in its brewing technique and ingredient selection, comprising elements traditionally associated with strong aromas, such as dried longan, dried apples, and cinnamon, yet resulting in a moderate, alluring scent. This deliberate and refined brewing process is instrumental in cementing Mót Hội An as a prestigious and cherished brand within the domain of Vietnamese beverages. #### Preparation Methodology The preparation methodology of Mót Hội An’s herbal tea is sophisticated, necessitating precision, patience, and attention to the temporal aspects of brewing. The utilization of freshly harvested tea leaves ensures the maintenance of a vibrant green tint and a refreshing palette. The addition of honey not only supplements a subtly sweet residue but also enhances the drink's nutritional profile, rendering it both a delightful and healthful choice. #### Geographic and Temporal Specificity Prominently located at 150 Trần Phú, the establishment is easily identifiable, consistently attracting patrons eager to experience its celebrated herbal lemonade, particularly during its operational hours from 16:30 to 22:00. This timeframe coincides with the enchanting illumination of Hoi An by traditional lanterns, offering a picturesque setting for the enjoyment of this distinctive beverage. In summation, Mót Hội An transcends the typical beverage offering to embody the intricate blend of traditional Vietnamese culture and innovative culinary practices. The quaint yet vibrant setting of the establishment, coupled with its unique product, encapsulates the essence of Hoi An’s rich heritage, providing visitors with not just a drink, but a comprehensive sensory experience. 📸 Manh Nguyen Huu #Letsguide #Localguider #Googlemaps

Mót Hội An is one of those rare hidden gems that effortlessly captures the essence of Hội An’s charm. Located near the ancient town’s bustling streets, this quaint little herbal tea shop offers a refreshing and authentic local experience that stands out amid the tourist buzz. The star of the show is undoubtedly their herbal drink, made from a traditional recipe combining lemongrass, lime, lotus leaf, licorice, and other aromatic herbs. Served in a bamboo cup with a lotus petal garnish, it’s not just a drink—it’s an experience. The flavors are light, slightly sweet, and incredibly soothing, especially in the tropical heat of central Vietnam. What makes Mót even more special is its aesthetic presentation and street-side vibe. The setup is small but beautiful, often decorated with fresh flowers and traditional elements, making it a favorite spot for photos. Even though the space is limited, the line moves quickly, and the staff is always welcoming and polite. At around 15,000–20,000 VND (less than $1), it’s also one of the best-value experiences in Hội An. Whether you’re looking for a break from sightseeing or a unique taste of local culture, Mót is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hội An. Don’t miss it!

Tucked away in a vintage-style old house, with rustic decor reminiscent of ancient Hội An, this place has become very popular. It’s especially well-known among foreign tourists, who usually buy drinks to go rather than staying to take 'Instagrammable' photos like Vietnamese visitors. The drink here is famous for its secret traditional ingredients, including chrysanthemum, monk fruit, green tea leaves, cinnamon, self-heal, licorice, honeysuckle, lemon, sugar, honey, dried young lotus leaves, and lemongrass. The aromatic 'feast' of fragrances captivates many tourists, so it’s no surprise that this place is always packed. The price is only 18,000 VND (less than 1 USD), and you can either take it to go or enjoy it in the shop. They also offer a menu with light snacks and full meals. According to Asian beliefs, food and drinks are made from ingredients that have either 'yin' or 'yang' properties. Therefore, balancing these elements in a recipe is important for maintaining the body’s harmony. A carefully crafted drink, prepared by experienced hands, can help cool the body, reduce stress, and promote restful sleep. I was quite surprised that this unique drink was created by a young 90s-born owner, who is successfully bringing the special flavors and local herbs of Quảng Nam closer to international tourists. Another huge plus is that, being young and eco-conscious, the owner opts for recycled cups and straws to reduce environmental impact instead of using plastic. The bamboo straws even have a subtle fragrance that enhances the scent of the young lotus leaves — a clever combination! Mót Hội An has officially been registered with an intellectual property trademark and is sold exclusively at 150 Trần Phú street. Once you visit, you'll want to come back for a second time, and after that, you'll be so enamored with Hội An that you won’t want to leave!
