Reaching Out Teahouse is pure magic — truly one of the most special places I visited in Hoi An. From the moment you step inside, the peaceful ambiance wraps around you like a warm embrace. The atmosphere is serene, thoughtful, and filled with a quiet grace that’s hard to put into words.

The staff, many of whom are differently abled, are simply extraordinary. Their attentiveness, kindness, and care shine through in every interaction, creating an experience that feels deeply personal and incredibly moving. Communication is done through beautifully crafted written cards, which only adds to the sense of tranquility and respect in the space.

The tea and snack offerings are absolutely delicious. Every cup and every bite is clearly prepared with intention and love — from the rich, fragrant teas to the delicate, flavorful treats that accompany them. Sitting near the front of the shop, sipping tea and watching the world go by, was one of my favorite moments in all of Vietnam. The people-watching here is as peaceful as it is fascinating, offering a perfect blend of quiet observation and gentle connection to the rhythms of Hoi An.

Behind the teahouse, the artisan workshop is equally inspiring. The craftsmanship on display — from jewelry to home goods — is of stunning quality, with every piece telling a story of skill, patience, and pride.

Reaching Out Teahouse isn’t just a place to have tea — it’s a place to slow down, to breathe deeply, and to appreciate the beauty of human connection and craftsmanship. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and incredibly grateful for the experience. An absolute...

The drink is OK. I love the sweet here, delicious sesame biscuit. The environment is greatest. Silent with peaceful. They offer the signal wood items to communicate when you order drink. I love the meaning of this place. You must walk to here. Park your bike or car outside. Try the teaset when you are here. Stepping off the bustling streets of Hoi An, Reaching Out Teahouse felt like a secret garden. It was quiet, almost serene, with a calming atmosphere that washed over me instantly. The staff were incredibly welcoming, though communication was a bit different. There were these little cards on the tables with phrases in English, and a notepad for scribbling orders. It felt a little awkward at first, but also strangely freeing. It forced me to slow down, to be present in the moment, and appreciate the simple act of enjoying a cup of tea.

Speaking of tea, theirs was fantastic! They have this traditional welcome tea, a light yellow-green color, that was delicate and fragrant. It felt like a world away from the sugary drinks I'd been grabbing on the go. I learned later it's organic and from their Central Highlands. The whole experience felt genuine, and knowing that my visit was supporting people with disabilities made it even more special. It wasn't just a tea break, it was a chance to connect with the community in a unique way.

If you're looking for a break from the tourist crowds and a chance to experience something different in Hoi An, Reaching Out Teahouse is a must-visit. Just be prepared to slow down, relax, and maybe even write a...

I loved this place! It's a wonderful place to relax. Patrons are encouraged to communicate in a quiet manner and they have some prefabricated signs to communicate with the deaf staff. The staff is very sweet and attentive. I tried the Jasmine Tea (hot) and came back for the good day coffee (iced) and liked both of them. The drinks are served with a small cookie but I also ordered the cookie tasting plate, which was just the right amount to taste every kind of sweet they have. The cookies are not very sweet and very flavorful. You also get free cold green tea when you sit down (and refills). Everything is presented on beautiful plates. If you order an iced coffee, the ice is made from coffee. You can order a free second pour of hot water for your tea. In addition to selling the coffee beans and tea that they serve, they also sell all kinds of beautiful handmade items for tea and coffee and some silver jewelry (all made by people with disabilities). I sat close to the window and just watched people walking by, another time I enjoyed sitting in their beautiful courtyard. In the morning there are hardly any people there. They also have a clean toilet with soap and toilet paper ;) Their sign is relatively small and dark but make sure to come by here.
