Was drawn by the restaurant’s modern and clean look so I went in for a meal. Ordered the Hoi An noodles and was told to pick a meat so I chose chicken. We also ordered the basil seafood fried rice and fried spring rolls which was supposed to have seafood. When my dish came, I promptly removed the chicken skin as I do not eat them. Upon removing about 8 pieces of skin, I was disappointed to see that my Hoi An noodles came with one decent sized piece of chicken and 2 tiny pieces. Plus a small quail egg which was different from the photo in the menu showing a chicken egg. I could not go through the meal without questioning the staff about my dish with only 1 piece of chicken. It didn’t help that the dish was bland and not at all tasty but that depends and could just be the local taste that did not suit me. But I was just mortified about the single piece of chicken in my noodles which seemed very ridiculous. They were nice and promptly replaced my dish with a second bowl with at least a few pieces of chicken fitting an actual meal and threw in 2 extra quail eggs to make up for it. The basil seafood fried rice was actually also very dishonestly made as the “seafood” was not really visible. They were essentially tiny pieces of chopped up squid. No prawn.. maybe it’s mashed up? The serving was also small. The spring rolls were crispy and hot but I didn’t taste any meat in them. All in all a disappointing experience when I had hoped for a decent meal in Vietnam. I’m surprised that this place has such good reviews. Maybe I came at a bad day? The staff were friendly and service was not bad. Just that the food provided no value and was felt very dishonest for serving dishes with no actual meat in them. Maybe if you order western dishes you can see the meat since they can’t chop up the meat...
Read moreThis restaurant is tucked away in Hoi An's bustling old town. I knew many people would choose a good restaurant based on reviews, but I haven't heard much about this one. So I made the decision to have dinner here. My hotel host highly recommended this location. I ordered Pho and other traditional Vietnamese dishes. They're all so delicious. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time, so we wondered why it was so quiet because this restaurant served the best Vietnamese food and was super yummy. So, if you're looking for a place to eat, I highly...
