Our visit to Vys Deli was somewhat serendipitous, as we initially came here by mistake while trying to find Morning Glory, which we later realized was located upstairs. Despite the mix-up, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience.
The service at Vys Deli was commendable. Our server was attentive and prompt, ensuring we had what we needed. However, I did notice that the table next to us encountered an issue with their order, receiving the wrong dishes. This highlights that while the service was generally good, there can be occasional slip-ups.
Now, onto the food—our meal was truly enjoyable! The pancakes were flavourful and delicious, while the white rose dumplings stood out as the highlight of our dining experience. They were flavorful and beautifully presented, showcasing the culinary skills of the kitchen.
However, one aspect that significantly detracted from our visit was the persistent sales pressure we experienced. While we sought to relax and enjoy our meal, we were approached by salespeople trying to sell 3D pop-out cards on three separate occasions within the short span of less than an hour. This constant interruption made it challenging to fully unwind and appreciate our time at the deli, especially as we were trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the street vendors outside.
In summary, Vys Deli offers great food and attentive service, but the aggressive sales tactics detracted from the overall experience. It's worth a visit for the delicious pancakes and dumplings, but be prepared for potential interruptions...

Whole Lobster with Rice & XO Sauce – This was insane. The lobster was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, and that XO sauce? So rich, savoury, and just the right amount of spice. I could’ve eaten that sauce on its own, no joke. The rice soaked it up like a dream.
Lamb Shank with Mash – Melt-in-your-mouth vibes. The lamb was so soft that it basically fell apart when you touched it. The mash was buttery and smooth, and the gravy pulled everything together. Pure comfort food energy.
Drinks line-up:
Mojito – Super fresh, not too sweet, minty, and refreshing. Solid.
Mango Margarita – Sweet, tangy, and had a little kick. Really liked how the mango flavour came through without tasting fake.
Pina Colada – Smooth, creamy, tropical goodness. Dessert in a glass. Could’ve sipped on that all day.
Overall? Everything hit. Great food, chill vibes, and the drinks definitely did their job. Would...

You get this feeling that they are here just to take your order and thats it and nothing more. Wouldn’t...
