Delicious Banh Mi Ngon (Charm Bakery) — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

This is a simple small place that was nearly full when I came in to grab my takeaway. I'm in HCM for 4th or 5th time already, and I can't help but to eat banh mi nearly every day here. This one is more expensive than typical street food ones, but I always need two regular buns to get fed. However, it was so large here that I was full after just one. The ingredients are fresh, delicious, aromatic, the owner lady speaks English and she's very kind. She let me chose toppings (like chili and herbs). She gave me the bracelet, too. I'm finishing eating my banh mi right when I type these words: based on one only experience this far—I say it's one of the most delicious banh mi places I've ever visited! Not only it is truly large but also the meat and other ingredients stick out of the sandwich all the way along, from the top to the bottom, not only at the beginning or in the middle....

My wife and I visited Delicious Banh Mi Ngon today while in search of a Banh Mi place that could accommodate us not wanting pate (I know, it’s an essential part I’m sure, but we dislike what we dislike). I saw the good reviews for this place so we visited on our way back to our hotel.

While looking at the menu the owner welcomed us in. We were happy to see the menu had English translations and specifically said if you don’t want an ingredient they’re happy to accommodate you. The interior was well decorated, cozy and clean.

I ordered the roasted pork Banh Mi and my wife got the chicken Banh Mi. Service was quick and pleasant and with a few minutes we left with delicious sandwiches (and complimentary bracelets from the owner).

We ordered the roasted pork banh mi sandwich and the chicken and vegetable banh mi sandwich for 60,000VND each. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the banh mi was loaded with fresh ingredients! We don’t speak any Vietnamese but the owner was super accommodating to my dietary restrictions and even gave us little lucky charm bracelets before we left! The sandwiches are very big and the service is top notch! Would recommend, especially if you aren’t a fan of pate or just have some dietary restrictions to work around.
