Genuinely THE worst egg coffee ive had in vietnam. im by no means a local or like a picky tourist or a pro, but i cant be more honest. the foam is supposed to be sweet and creamy—it was bland as hell. i asked the person who made it if it could be fixed because foam is not sweet and it wasnt what i was expecting as every other egg coffee ive ordered around the country, and he just squirted honey on it and told me to stir it lol. Like wat? I also like the bitter coffee at the end but the end was like a latte. so i was confused to what i actually got. And no the place wasnt packed.
matcha - ordered just for fun w no expectations. one could say it was matcha flavored water.
as a hail mary, i ordered a passion fruit tea - thankfully it was the one good thing. it was very refreshing and perfect sweetness with the passion fruit seeds adding to the sourness. yummy yummy in my tummy
Bun bo - today i learned it has to say Hue at the end for it to be the one i like. ik im a dumb tourist. so i tried something new (bun bo) and it was alright. if you want good bun bo hue go to Ruth’s House. restaurant name is in english but so far its the best bun bo hue ive had in hcmc.
also i think theres 2 good days? I went to the one upstairs on 9th floor with the sun “g☀️od day print” on wall.
btw not hating on the culture, just the way these drinks were made at this specific place. ive had significantly tastier and better experiences everywhere else in vietnam.
atmosphere - good lighting and decor. nice music and ac inside. gets windy up here so its a nice moment of...

The café is located inside the famous Café Apartment building, and it actually spans across 3 levels (floors 3, 4, and 5). Because of that, it feels spacious and never too crowded, even during peak hours.
We ordered Vietnamese coffee, opera cake, and red velvet cake. The coffee was rich and flavorful, though we felt it had quite a bit of foam and ice, so the actual drink volume was on the lighter side. Still, the taste was great, and the desserts were soft, not overly sweet, and beautifully served.
The staff were kind and helpful. The interior is cozy, filled with greenery, and there’s a cute balcony with a city view — perfect for relaxing, reading, or just enjoying some quiet time.
📍 Tip: You can reach the café by stairs or use the old elevator in the building. It’s a bit of a climb, but totally worth it once you’re inside.
✅ A calm, stylish café — perfect for slow afternoons. 📸 Very...
Read moreWe chose the place because we liked the balcony overlooking the walking street. We were more satisfied cos the atmosphere inside was cosy especially for a big group. However, we were dissatisfied with the food and drinks. The pizza was reheated in the microwave, not oven; matcha drinks were mixed with green tea (yes from the same leaves but they're processed differently thus they taste differently); cakes as well were not satisfactory. The service though was friendly and the waiters were attentive but the discomfort when you are in a big group is that, you have to order one by one at the counter. To avoid this standing up and crowding the space, we asked for the staff to come to us and one waiter gave us a paper to write down our order. This...
