Perfect Authentic Greek restaurant with Gluten Free options for Coeliacs in Hoi An From my first contact with the staff at MIX Greek Restaurant my stress level reduced - I was in capable hands and could relax and enjoy a Gluten Free meal. The menu highlighted numerous Gluten Free meal options. The wait staff and kitchen staff are friendly and knowledgeable and experienced in preparing meals for Coeliacs. Xristos (the Owner) guided me through the menu to ensure I had sufficient options. Questions were responded to professionally and a great choice of meals were available. The meal commenced with Gluten Free bread (yes they have GF bread) & dips to start the meal - delicious. My wife and I then shared the Chicken Souvlaki - reminded us of being in Chania in June. For main course I went With the Australian Lamb Chops served on a bed of mushed potatoes with beetroot. A choice cut of Aussie goodness perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The chops melted in your mouth. I also had a side serving of Gluten Free Chips (yes, they have a dedicated GF fryer for the chips). I even was presented with a Gluten Free dessert to finish off the meal (Greek yoghurt and honey - yum). The wine list contained a range of international options by the bottle or glass. I went Aussie and was not disappointed. Authentic Greek food as good as they do in Greece. The perfect stop for a Coeliac seeking a stress-free and delicious gluten-free meal in a magical outdoor setting. Thanks Xristos - Five Stars.

Honestly a bit disappointing experience given the current rating of this place. First of all, it’s the first restaurant in Vietnam that don’t serve a free water. I have never experienced such situation before. Yeah it’s not a problem to buy a water, but common? It’s just a basic thing. I’m absolutely sure that restaurant with such rating should provide water immediately after we sit down. It didn’t happen and the water here is only for payment. This is a big no already. About food. It’s fine, but no more than that. We ordered chicken skewers (3) and the amount of chicken is ridiculous for that price. It’s like for kids, but not adults. The taste is okay though, but nothing special. Check out Istanbul Anatolian in Da Nang if you want to have a real Mediterranean experience. Not advertisement, but recommendation. They will give you FREE water and even free tea or coffee. Plus the prices are lower and you get more food for this money. MIX is probably okay to visit one time (doubtfully though), but no more than that.

My son and I felt like eating something different for dinner. We were looking for Pho, but saw MIX and immediately craved Greek food. The entrance is unassuming, but it was a picturesque hallway down to a little patio area with attractive deco and friendly staff. The menu is comprehensive, but we opted for a very tasty feta Chili dip starter (Tirokafteri) with pita, followed by calamari (Kalamarakia) with a beetroot dip, a beef souvlaki pita wrap and a large portion of mousakas (Moussaka). We enjoyed everything. The star were the feta chili dip and moussaka. To finish, the staff brought a complimentary chocolatey dessert in a small glass that was delicious. Drinks were a bottle of Saigon beer and a sofa. Total bill was 650k vnd, or USD29.55. One of the more expensive meals in Hoi An, but it was good! Ambience was very nice. Imagine when it gets dark that the lighting would make for a very quaint and romantic experience. Would visit again for sure.

The menu at Mix is a delightful fusion of traditional Greek dishes and local flavors, resulting in a harmonious blend of flavors that will leave your taste buds dancing. Whether you're a fan of classic Greek favorites like moussaka and souvlaki or eager to try something new, Mix offers a diverse selection that caters to all palates.

A few standout dishes that should not be missed is the Dip sampler, rotisserie lamb souvlaki (gyro) and the authentic Greek salad. Bursting with freshness and vibrant colors, it is a symphony of flavors that perfectly captures the essence of Greek cuisine. The food is pretty good. Service is slow but generally ok. Cocktails very poor.

We came here tonight with our family of 4 adults and 4 kids, including an infant. We ordered two mix meat platters, plus some meals for the kids, and the waiter repeated our order. 25 minutes later one platter arrived, and the waiter immediately noticed we were missing one. He told us to wait a minute, then came back and said it would be right out. He didn’t mention it would be half an hour!

25 mins later another platter arrived. By this point our young kids were losing it, and the other platter was cold. We quickly ate a fair bit of the platter after everyone else had long finished eating and asked for the bill. At no point was there any recognition of the mistake, and the bill included the total cost of the meal and drinks. After complaining we were offered 10% off the one delayed dish. We paid the whole bill and walked out.

All in all, a very disappointing last night in Hoi An. I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here for a nice meal, plenty of other amazing places with terrific service and food to support and give...
