We arrived at 08:40 and right off the bat we were told they were out of pizza :( (that was the only reason we came here in the first place) after the initial shock wore off I wanted to order a Oreo Milkshake. Well guess what..NO MILKSHAKE! just vanilla available. They can shove their vanilla shake up where the sun doesn’t shine, shake it up and feed it to their dying pets to speed up the process. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The staff was fine. (But apparently not capable of making any food a customer want to order. HOURS before closing time) The Coleslaw was salty enough to be responsible for the “all natural” face transformation of some models. The hot Tea we ordered was freezing to the point one could forget it was burning outside. The Burgers were amazing i’ve been told but the sliders aren’t even big enough to fill a cavity. The Juice on the other hand was sweet enough to cause one. The Fries were unseasoned und were closer in taste to a dirty toothpick than actual potatoes (and NO ketchup..what??)
Absolutely do not recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to loose their will to live.
But the music was great🫶xo
Update: we came back for a second time the day after and I have to say.. they outdid themselves this time..in the best way possible. When we arrived they brought us water and took our order pretty much immediately. We could order whatever we wanted without anything being unavailable. They informed us how long it would take and asked if we wanted the food to be brought to us when it’s ready or all at once. The beverages weren’t too sweet or too bitter and I have to admit, the oreo shake was phenomenal. And they really went above and beyond with the service. The Pizza was amazing und was larger than expected. Great surprise! All the sliders and other things we ordered were outstanding as well. When we asked for the rest of the pizza for takeaway and they even reheated it before bringing it in a carton, in a bag.
After our last visit, I would definitely recommend this place as a lunch spot as they still have everything in stock by then. Dinner is a fifty/fifty chance on the service and food as it’s pretty busy by 7.

Read moreWe had been looking forward to trying Chops since it opened and what a disappointing surprise it was.
The atmosphere and service were great but unfortunately the food and drinks left a bad taste and I won't be back. As a Burger fiend I enjoy a good burger once a week and have been searching for Hoi An's best burger. It's not here that is for sure.
The service was slow, waited way to long until they took our order, beer didn't come until the cocktail was ready and they got the orders mixed up. Time to pay and they dropped the bill and vanished. I almost left with the money sitting on the table as I couldnt get any attention from staff to pay.
The food was not good. Greasy, salty and small portions. 2 different burgers, dripped greasy oil/fat. The brioche buns turned to flat skinny dough, with no ability to hold the contents. The flavour were confusing and not what was expected, and the Durty fries, boring. The portions were small... Very small. The Burgers were not big at all and I am guessing around 120gm of beef. The patties were dry, and tasteless, and lacked seasoning... But the other contents were just a mess of chesse and grease and sauce which ruin what might have been a good burger.
Then came the bill, and I new it wasn't cheap but wow... 800k vnd for 2 Burgers, 1 Durty fries, a beer and a cocktail.... No way was it worth even half that.
I don't normally give negative reviews but this time it is warranted and hopefully the boss will look at changing things.
If your looking for great Burgers at a reasonable price you won't...
Read morewe were on holiday in Vietnam. and after spending 6 nights in Ho Chi Minh City. we moved out to Hoi An. get a different feel. and see something different. and new. which is ironic. because this burger palace is found in old town Hoi An. so far on the holiday we had had a full on vietnamese food fiesta. and by the time we rolled into Hoi An. the general consensus amongst the team was that we needed a bit of western food respite. a short time of googling. and boom. Chops Hoi An. we chose the one away from the river. and while early still. we were able to nab a table out on the verandah. under a fan. the service was top rate. and quick. cold beers. and drinks. and the food. oh my. the food. with expectations not over the top. Chops delivered in spades. highly recommend the triple stack burger and truffle fries. if we have the chance to visit Hoi An again. this restaurant will be a priority stopping point. well done Chops....
