Caveman Smoked Ribs & Craft Beer — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

Usually when we arrive in a new place like Sunset Town, the first food on our agenda is going to be pizza and pasta. I had to break from tradition when I spotted Caveman Smoked Ribs on the map. I am not even usually a ribs/pork person, but these ribs and rib tips were SO enticing, on top of my other usual picks (burgers/fries, garlic bread, and spicy wings) that the Italian food needed to take a backseat this time.

It did NOT disappoint! I wrestled with ordering a full rack of ribs but ultimately decided that the best way to try aa many things at once was to go burger/fries, rib tips, garlic bread, and a side of spicy wing sauce for dipping.

We will now be taking our free day tomorrow coming back to Sunset Town and neighboring beaches, and I'll surely be figuring out a plan to come back to Caveman for the full ribs and wings 🤗 I was too full by the end of the burger/fries to even have the rib tips. Wifey loved her chicken burger and onion rings...that leaves ribs and wings for...

I'm staying for three monhs. One month has gone by and I have had a ton of Pho and Noodles. I knew I wanted a burger and found a delicious fried chicken burger here. Not the usual fried chicken burger you find at KFC or Popeyes. This one is really tasty and I enjoyed it very much as I placed my order to go.

I thought the atmosphere was great. Not too many people and some nice and relaxing music playing with clean benches to sit on. I was able to sit down there and wait while my food was cooking.

My only recommendation is that the employees be more vocal if they cannot understand something said in English. I had to pull out my translator a couple of times, which is completely fine, but it would be easier If they confirmed they do not understand something instead saying they understand and say something else entirely. Either way, they were very nice and patient with me about it.

This is the first and last time I visited this restaurant. Disgusting service! Horribly inattentive waiters. When we first arrived, we were told that their specialty ribs were sold out. We ordered other entrees. I waited 40 minutes for my burger and while I was waiting, I noticed that the neighboring tables (who came later than us) were bringing those very same ribs. I asked the waiter why she said the ribs were sold out? She replied that they showed up 20 minutes ago. I was furious at this attitude and unprofessionalism! Couldn't they have told me that the ribs were being cooked and just needed to wait! Disgusting approach. Also, I asked for a chili pepper pod to be brought, which they never brought me.
