I travelled from New Zealand and while we were here, I did the Teslaās Mystery room with some family members. From the beginning of the visit right to the end, something was always a little bit āoff.ā
We showed up for our 11:30 booking, and majority of the staff members seemed a little unhappy to be at work. The lady that did the safety talk got very angry at someone who was taking a video or a photo of the reception area. She stopped her briefing entirely to yell āDonāt take a photo of meā which she said about 5 times. I completely get that it is annoying, but we all felt so uncomfortable having to sit there and listen to her tell someone off. Once the briefing was finished, we were all sat out in the reception area for a good amount of time before any staff member came out to start taking teams. A staff member would come out and take teams one at a time, which was odd, so our game actually began 10-12 minutes later than we had booked.
The room itself was fine, it was quite tricky. The only real issue we had was with two magnets (Iām trying to be as vague as possible to avoid spoilers). She said they sometimes stick together too close to each other and donāt work? We took both of them off, placed one back on and then it triggered the next thing - but we still had one magnet in our hand? It was almost like the staff member had triggered it a little bit too early for us, which was confusing in the moment.
When we finished the room, the staff member was nowhere to be seen once the door was opened. She came running out and seemed embarrassed as she said āSorry I was on the phone.ā I get it, the phone rings at unexpected times but I would have thought she would have known what we were up to in the room and not answer the phone, or even got someone else come out to say congratulations.
Overall, as I said in the beginning there was always something just a little bit off. It was an awkward experience and unfortunately I donāt think we will be returning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a DISAPPOINTING experience during my visit. The employee named DANIEL who is apparently a team leader at this location was extremely unprofessional, rude, and provided some of the worst customer service Iāve ever encountered. Instead of setting a welcoming tone, he spent much of his time talking to a group of girls, loudly bragging about how he āgets paid $28 an hour and that his screen time on his phone is around 12 hours a day because heās always on his phone at workā. This behaviour came across as careless, unprofessional, and disrespectful
Towards the end of the game, DANIEL continuously interrupted us by calling out unhelpful comments for no reason, which ruined the flow of the experience. On top of that, he rushed us to finish even though we still had time left, making the whole activity feel stressful and unpleasant rather than fun and engaging.
I came expecting an enjoyable and immersive experience, but instead left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Staff members play a huge role in shaping the atmosphere, and unfortunately Danielās poor attitude and lack of respect completely spoiled it. I would not recommend this location to others given the lack of professionalism I...

Thank you so much Fox in the Box for a great escape room experience. We attended on Wednesday and completed the Wild West Saloon with you two little ones and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
My husband and I had done one escape room before with a different company, but this was the first time for our kids. Miss 8 loved it so much and really did believe the sheriff was coming (which was the cutest. We eventually told her there was no Sheriff and it was all part of the story). Our youngest who is 2 didnāt do too bad in there either although we kept him pretty much tied to us (he still got be part of it too)š. Loved the set out of the room and all the tasks we had to do. Found them quite clever and all related. Loved the setting too really felt like we were in a saloon :)
Thank you to our amazing Game Master - Lauren. You were awesome. Played the character well (well enough my 8 year old believed it), also prompted us when she knew we were stuck or unsure about something. She kept it fun and engaging esp with us having 2 little ones.
Thank you again. Our little Miss loved it and canāt wait to do another one. We will definitely be back. Til...
