Went for brekkie here with my wife last weekend. First impressions were alright—clean tables, cosy vibe, a few older locals reading the paper, which is usually a good sign. We ordered a flat white and a long black, both of which were pretty decent in terms of strength and flavour, though they could've been a tad hotter. Food-wise, I had the bacon and egg roll, and my wife went for the ricotta hotcakes. The roll had a good bite to it—crispy bacon and runny yolk, exactly how I like it. Facts - after 15 mins today I checked where was my takeaway coffee. Oh we seem to have misplaced it. I was immediately given a coffee tipped from another cup into mine , poured the hot milk from a jug and finished with chocolate powder. As I walked away I tasted it and it was like a thin watery vanilla milkshake. So I returned it and was made a fresh coffee which tasted better, but still not a distinct coffee taste.
