I passed through here 4 times in 2 days as I was staying at marrilac house in brisbane street in the city centre 2 nights as a driver for my cousin who was in the LGH. I think it was about 1.9 kilometers walk each way. So the 4 times I walked through this park it was a welcome relief to take a few minutes to relax In the park before continuing on my mission. Beautiful park. Saw lots of pigeons, but had no food so I crushed a few acorns after peeling the outer skin. Some of them had a nibble but most weren't that interested. But it did draw them close enough in numbers to eat out of my hand. This fountain is totally so beautiful. The dark grey colours tho really don't do it justice. A sandstone colour would make it stand out & reveal it's beauty way better. Read moreIt's a nice place to be, lots of shade from trees a nice fountain in the middle plenty of benches and seat space, and there are also public rest rooms that can be used if you need to use those facilities, there is also a water fountain (one you drink out of) in case you don't have any water or something to drink with you, unfortunately where the water drains out seems to get clogged often so the bowl surrounding it usually fills with water which can be quite annoying, other than that it's a nice place to relax, play and enjoy...
