I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mad Apple Cafe on Mother's Day morning, and I can't express enough how delightful the experience was. From the moment I stepped in, I was met with warm smiles and exceptional service that set the tone for a truly enjoyable meal.

Let's talk about the star of the show: the tofu scramble. Oh boy, it was a revelation! As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for creative and delicious plant-based options, and Mad Apple Cafe exceeded my expectations. The tofu scramble was expertly seasoned, with just the right balance of flavors. The tofu itself was perfectly cooked, achieving a wonderful texture that was both fluffy and satisfying. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and vibrant, adding a burst of color and nutrition to the dish. It was a mouthwatering symphony of tastes and textures that left me craving more.

What truly sets Mad Apple Cafe apart, though, is their exceptional service. From the friendly and attentive staff to the prompt delivery of our orders, every aspect of the service was top-notch. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to address any questions or dietary concerns we had. They made us feel welcome and valued as customers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

In addition to the delightful food and outstanding service, the ambiance of Mad Apple Cafe deserves a special mention. The cozy yet modern decor, combined with the soothing background music, created a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for a memorable Mother's Day morning with my loved ones.

Mad Apple Cafe has truly won my heart with their delicious tofu scramble and exceptional service. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend giving their tofu scramble a try. You won't be disappointed! Thank you, Mad Apple Cafe, for making my Mother's Day morning...

My farming friend and I have both farmed livestock so it might seem ironic that we choose a vegetarian restaurant for lunch. But we respect food choices when they're made with the provenance of the ingredients in mind. Plus, we know the Mad Apple chefs present deliciousness on a plate. When our lunch dishes arrived they were presented with simple elegance, small bowls layered on plates and boards. My choice was the special of Butter 'Chicken' Curry with rice and garlic naan while my friend opted for Arancini balls with roast tomato and purple basil, and a potato salad side. My curry was silky and fragrant, and the chicken was of course make-believe. There was a rich umami sauce, and crispy, lightly-charred-on-the-outside, melt-in-the-mouth naan bread, which is obviously made in-house and I suspect with milk to make it soft. My friend had chosen a carb-plus-carb combination which sounded good when ordering but was a bit same-y in reality. This was compensated for later, since she had spotted Tiramisu on the dessert menu, with Mascarpone cream and dulce de leche, coffee ice cream and crumble, the last two components made in-house. It came layered in glasses with a decorative sprinkling of coffee beans and rounded off our meal in decadent style. If you'd like to read more about our lunch at the Mad Apple you'll find the full review in the upcoming edition of Forty South Tasmania, in newsagents and on their website soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mad Apple Cafe — Launceston

From the moment you walk the path toward the entrance, you can feel the good energy at Mad Apple Cafe. We were greeted warmly with a smile, and straight away we both had a great feeling about this place. There is an abundance of positive energy here, and we connected with it immediately.

As we looked around, we noticed other patrons clearly enjoying themselves. Despite being full, the atmosphere remained calm, collected, and seamless — a hallmark of professional hospitality, which we truly appreciate.

Our friendly waitress took our order, provided water and glasses, and allowed us to relax and enjoy each other’s company while waiting for our meal. When our dishes arrived, the wonderful aromas instantly hit our senses — we knew we were in for something special.

The food and coffee were simply awesome, with evident care and attention to detail that did not go unnoticed. Mad Apple Cafe absolutely nailed it.

That experience planted a seed for us, and we will most certainly return for another culinary delight. We highly recommend this establishment for breakfast, lunch, or simply to enjoy coffee, tea, and cake.

A place full of good energy, good food, and good people — exactly what Launceston deserves.

Warm...

I took myself off for a special lunch here recently, and was so taken aback when I found the location. It’s cool looking, interesting and architecturally inspiring. This place is worth the visit just for the atmosphere, friendly service, surrounds and interesting menu. I really felt comfortable with the vibe here, which bustles, yet still feels relaxed 😎 The coffee was great and I enjoyed the Nasi Goreng (a particular favourite of mine), but felt (for my tastes) that it went a little heavy on the cabbage in it. Would have liked some chilli on it too… after all, Indonesian food with no chilli? I had a delightful, special late lunch here, which was so atmospheric too. This Cafe really needs to be experienced because it is just delightful. Even if only for coffee and cake (which is different and unexpected)… I’ll be back for their Kimchi rice! Ah, yum 😋

An early morning stop before the long trip south brings us to the unique ‘Mad Apple Cafe’ where the garden walk before you take a seat sets the scene for a warm and homely experience. The genuinely smiley & friendly staff set the pace for what is most definitely a worthwhile & memorable breakfast experience. Like a kid in a lolly shop, I set about attempting to devour the blueberry & choc chip pancakes with ice-cream before remembering to take a pre experience photo, but the taste is absolutely devine! My wife’s Mexican Smashed Avocado was in her words ‘yummo!’ and from where I was looking, wow came to mind. The coffee was 5 out of 5, ordering a second reinforcing our approval. All in all 4.5 stars out of 5, the noise level when busy does reverberate off the walls but overall a great place to visit. Will be back 😊
