My daughter recently visited me from interstate and later afternoon on a Sunday, we both wanted something to eat - having missed all the Cafes. Du Cane Brewery was a suggestion. So off we went. I’ve walked past before, and thought it looked interesting and chill. The sort of place good to while away a slow Sunday afternoon… well, it didn’t disappoint. We asked for a Pizza recommendation and Forest was suggested. So we chose that and a Sopressa endowed one. I definitely thought the Sopressa Pizza was going to be the tastier one. I was wrong. The Forest, was tasty, moist and different. It was very delicious. The Sopressa was fine, but it was The Forest that really stood out! Of course we’d ordered too much, so we took home almost the equivalent of a whole Pizza. Which tasted great the next day, too! Loved the chill, but pretty bustling atmosphere. No hurrying here, and no rousting the customers after a certain time. We loved the pizza, the layout and our first coffees were pretty good too. Four stars only because second coffees were too milky and slopped in the saucer at serving. It’s fine. Love the kids area. Great initiative and really extends the place for everyone. Even four legged friends are welcome here. It’s so relaxed. There’s a style of seating for everyone and an ambience that is inviting and, most importantly, when the Cafes are closed for food - Du Cane has the goods. It was a lovely Sunday visit. And I’ll definitely be taking my other daughter from interstate there too! She’d love it. It’s great for space, conversation, coffee and really good PIZZA!

Great spot in Launceston. It had such a welcoming vibe, kind of like a halfway cabin in the woods - no doubt as intended! The staff were super helpful and up for a conversation about beer, food or otherwise. Many people stumbling in after a long day on the trails and looking for refreshment. Great big kids area out of the way of the adults, with rock climbing walls, bean bags, games and kid sized tables for them to stay entertained. Pizzas were absolutely delicious as was the beer - the Pale Ale was our favourite. Chatting to the bar staff, it sounds like it's a fairly new venture and I will be backing them to succeed after such a good experience. Nice guys finish first. I'm looking forward to seeing them expand into some more adventurous beers to match the outdoorsy brand positioning soon. Voting for a Hazy IPA on tap to lure me back!

Awesome brewery and pizza spot. Big, open space with so many options for beer as well as Parks Passes and Fishing Licences - great first stop before you head off adventuringaround Tas. Space isn't cold, they have a fire! The staff are amazing, welcoming and they have some great stories. Food wise they have some delicious wood fired pizzas, with a couple entree and sides to round out the meal. We had the All the Goods pizza and it was yum! Thin base with quality ingredients. If you are undecided on the smashed potatoes I would recommend getting them- perfect blend of crunchy outside and soft, melty inside. If you are in Launie, worth a visit

We recently visited this brewery as a group of 8, including a 4-year-old child with severe, life-threatening food allergies. To keep him safe, we brought a small meal from home—something we’ve had to do many times when dining out. Unfortunately, we were told by the manager that outside food was not allowed and were asked to put it away.

Even after explaining the seriousness of the situation (anaphylaxis isn’t something we’re willing to gamble on during our holiday), he did not make any exceptions and instead insisted we pay a $20 fee. He stated that the brewery “caters for allergies,” but the reality is, no kitchen can guarantee zero cross-contamination, and we weren’t willing to take that risk with a child’s life.

It was disappointing, especially given that the rest of us had ordered $300 worth of food and drinks. We understand policies exist, but a little empathy and flexibility would have gone a long way. It left a bad taste after what could have been a...

I recently visited Du Cane Brewery and had a fantastic experience. The brewery boasts ample space, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends or larger groups. The ambiance is truly inviting, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable time.

One of the highlights for me was the availability of white base pizza, a delightful option that added to the overall experience. The brewery is located in a prime area, with convenient paid parking options, making it easily accessible.

The vibe at Dun Cane Brewery is exceptional, creating a laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding with friends. The staff is not only friendly but also provides excellent service, contributing to the overall positive impression of the place.

It is undeniably a good place to chill out, enjoy good company, and savor some delicious food and drinks. If you're looking for a spot with ample space, great ambiance, and a welcoming vibe, Du Cane Brewery is...
