London Court is one of those places that really stands out in the heart of modern Perth. Walking through it feels like stepping into a different world – with its mock-Tudor façades, hanging signs, and decorative touches, it’s clearly inspired by old London, and it’s been done with a lot of care and attention to detail.
That said, there’s definitely a slightly Disney-esque feel to it – a bit polished, a bit theatrical – like someone’s romantic idea of what historic London should look like. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s whimsical and playful, and it brings a bit of character and atmosphere to the city centre.
What really makes it special, though, are the little independent shops tucked along the lane. There’s a great variety – from artisan chocolates to watchmakers, local fashion, souvenirs, and cafés. Each one has its own personality, and together they make London Court feel lively and full of small discoveries.

The court features the London Court Clock at its Hay St. Mall entrance. It's worth coming on the hour to see the joust by the clockwork knights who guard the tower.

I was fascinated by the mock-Tudor/Elizabethan facade and architecture style with large ornate wrought iron entrances on each end. The clock is the replica of the Great Clock at Rouen, France.
