Dear Customers, never buy gifts from UNIQLO as their Return Policy is ridiculous. Complete loss for both gift-giver and gift-receiver😔Last week, I got some gifts bought from this shop from my students who wanted to thank me at the end of the course. After trying them on, I realised that they are not my style so I decided to return them and buy something I liked and still consider it as a gift from those lovely people. On the other hand, I’ve just bought some stuff from UNIQLO during EOFY sale, so I don’t want an exchange, specially in the next 20 days before the return condition expires. Having both the original and gift receipts (it’s over $100), I went there yesterday and asked for a refund with the original receipt but the store Manager says that the money can be refunded ONLY to the original debit card. So, I showed him the gift receipt to prove that it’s a gift and I can’t have the debit card. He insisted that it only works if I have the original debit card and that they can’t give me credit, either. Long story short, I’m now left with 2 options:
1- To call my students and find out who paid for my gift, ask them to come all the way to the shop in the City to ask for a refund on my behalf, and then transfer the money to my account because I want to buy something else!!! Isn’t it just rude and embarrassing?!
2- To donate the gifts to some charity!
I think I’ll HAVE TO choose the second option anyway since I don’t want to be rude and ungrateful.
P.S: Also, remember you can’t return items in a shop other than the one you’ve made the purchase! Very...
Read moreI had one of the worst customer service experiences at this store today. The staff were rude, aggressive, and their behavior was downright intimidating. When I entered the fitting room area, I was offered a basket, which I politely declined as I only had four items, all on hangers. However, I was told I had to take it due to their "policy," despite there being hooks and rails in the fitting room.
After trying on the clothes, I mentioned that I liked the items and would exchange some for a different size. Without explanation, another staff member took the basket from me and said they needed to place the items in a shopping bag. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and expressed my concerns about how they were treating me. Instead of apologizing, they insisted they were simply following store policies.
What made things worse was that, after leaving the fitting area, I overheard these two employees discussing the situation, calling me rude for pointing out their poor customer service. It felt threatening and completely unprofessional.
The store's policies make no sense. Forcing customers to use baskets and bags, which are not sanitized, only increases exposure to germs and bacteria. Even though we're past the peak of the pandemic, COVID is still a concern, and these unnecessary policies put the community at higher risk.
I would highly recommend management review their policies and train their staff in proper...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience there today (9/5). I needed to visit the store to change a couple of cardigans I was given two days before and were the wrong size. I had already chosen one when my 3yo boy told me he really needed to pee. I approached the first staff member I could find, explained him the situation and asked if there would be a place where I could just leave the 3 pieces, so I could take my boy to Myer (there's no toilet at Murray St. Uniqlo store) and go/come back to finish my "mission". Following his very clear instructions I went to the change rooms and asked the two girls there where I could leave the bag. To my surprise, showing no empathy at all, they looked at me and told me they couldn't do it. My boy was literally holding his "private parts", begging to go peeing and, even after being told that another staff member had instructed me to go there, they ignored my request and repeated that "the rules" would prevent them to help. I'm sorry but that's not how you deal with people. Such a lack of emotional intelligence is inexcusable if you work with customer service. PEOPLE FIRST! I'm only giving three stars because the girl at the counter on the first floor (who eventually helped me), was a gem and a true hero. After helping me with the pee issue, she changed my purchases with a smile...
