Located at Cnr of George Street and Bathurst Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. St Andrew's Cathedral is a cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney in the Anglican Church of Australia. The cathedral is the seat of the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney and Metropolitan of New South Wales I have walked past this Cathedral numerous times in my life and I can’t believe today was the first time I have been inside. Our group came to see the Army Bandcall which performs there on Wednesdays at 12.30pm. It’s a free concert and it’s first come, first serve as far as seating is concerned. Definitely worth a visit. The concert 🎵 goes for approximately one 1️⃣ hour. The Cathedral itself is amazing, the stained glass windows are so beautiful and I really recommend climbing the stairs at the back to view the cathedral from above. There are toilet 🚻 facilities available, including disabled toilets. The entrance from the front includes a couple of steps so if you are in a wheelchair or have other mobility issues, I recommend entering from the side entrance. There is limited parking 🅿️ at front but would fill up fast but the cathedral is right next to Town Hall Railway station 🚉 and very close to the light rail 🚈. The building is beautiful inside and outside and I would definitely recommend a visit....

The first thing that struck me was the sheer grandeur of the building. The intricate sandstone facade, with its pointed arches and stained glass windows, instantly transported me back to a bygone era. Stepping inside, the feeling of awe only intensified. The soaring ceilings, the light filtering through the colorful windows, and the hushed reverence of the space created a truly calming atmosphere.
As I wandered around, I couldn't help but be struck by the intricate details – the ornate carvings, the impressive pipe organ, and the beautiful memorials scattered throughout the cathedral. It was clear that a lot of love and care had gone into the construction and upkeep of this sacred space.
While I'm not particularly religious myself, I found the entire experience at St. Andrew's Cathedral to be quite moving. It was a place of peace and reflection, a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city outside. Whether you're religious or not, I highly recommend taking a moment to step inside and appreciate the beauty and history of this...

The women's ESL is on Thursday nights, around 7pm. All are welcome to St. Andrews, there are three Sunday services, two in the morning and a third at 5pm. There is also a Wednesday Healing Service, healing through prayer, beginning at 6pm. There is no "interpretation" or mans ideas about what the scriptures should mean, at the Cathedral the sermons are biblically based, usually following two parts of scripture, first from the Old Testament, then a passage from the New Testament of which the minister speaks from & about. Each passage is relevant to each other. The minister will only preach from the Bible, so no human error can ensue. We welcome visitors greatly, whether local or interstate or even international visitors. If you come to the cathedral you can also get a free personal tour of the building, with all the windows containing messages of the Bible in stained glass artworks, history of the building...
