I cannot stress enough: do not make the mistake of booking this place. Our stay at Neutor Hotel Zentrum Salzburg was incredibly disappointing, and it felt like a complete letdown compared to what was advertised online.||First off, the room was very basic and in dire need of improvement. It was dated, with bad lighting and visible mold around the bathtub and light fixtures. The overall atmosphere had a gross and grotty feel, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom was particularly concerning, featuring an outdated toilet and what I can only describe as a “poo checker bowl,” which was pretty gross and smelly! I still felt dirty after showering because the bathroom was so grubby—it made me feel icky.||To make matters worse, the fan in the room was not working, and the space itself was very small. Given the price we paid- (225 euro for 2 nights) the value was simply not there. When I went down to reception to ask for two extra pillows—since we were only given one each—I was told by the receptionist that the hotel doesn’t provide extra pillows. This added to our discontent.||Things escalated when we discovered dried blood on the bed sheets. My husband was furious and went to reception to sort this out. While the receptionist brought us some extra bedding and an additional pillow, I ended up having to change the beds myself after a tiring day. What’s the point of staying in a hotel if I have to do the work myself?||Our dissatisfaction reached a point where we considered booking another hotel for our extra night. The only reason we didn’t was that moving our belongings would take too much time away from our holiday plans.||Housekeeping did change our towels, but I was horrified to find what looked like dried poo spots on one of my towels that hadn’t come out in the wash. Absolutely disgusting! To top it all off, someone walked into our room at 8 AM without knocking, waking us up unexpectedly. My husband was told that checkout time was at 11:30 AM the day before leaving, which was confusing and frustrating.||We also had an extremely rude encounter with one of the receptionists, who stormed in and told us that checkout was at 11 AM and that we needed to leave immediately. It was clear that the staff were not happy working there, and we couldn’t have been happier to leave!||In summary, our experience at Neutor Hotel Zentrum Salzburg was the worst part of our holiday and put a real dampner on our last 2 days. The lack of cleanliness, poor service, and overall unkempt environment really spoiled our trip. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this...

I stayed at the Am Neutor from 7 - 13 September 2014.

I fail to see how it can qualify as a four star hotel. In my opinion it would barley qualify as a three star.

I initially was put in a front room on the first floor but this was like trying to sleep on the M25 at rush hour, the noise was terrible and with no aircon we had to have windows open. (The hotel is right on the main road) Having requested a room change we moved to the second floor and to the side of the hotel which was far better with less noise.

The bathroom stunk of stale urine and the ceiling fan did not work. When I reported the fan all I was told was that they knew it was not working. When we moved into the room a spider was living on the wall with a web stretching completely across the room. This spider was still there and alive six days later when I left.

There is no facility for tea or coffee making in the room this is a definite black mark.

The hotel advertises as FREE WIFI in the room. I managed to get one and sometimes two signal bars and the box was right outside my room. Most of the time I had no signal at all but when I did it was the slowest internet connection I have seen since dial up finished.

The bed had a good mattress but only one feather pillow so when used it felt like there was no pillow at all.

Breakfast was continental supported by scrambled egg and bacon along with boiled egg and a good breakfast it was.

The big minus point for me was the fact that the hotel does not do evening meals. There is a Chinese restaurant just opposite the hotel so it was either a Chinese meal every night or walk into town.

A major plus was the staff and I have to say they were just brilliant can not fault them at all they did all they could to make me comfortable but the staff do not own the hotel do they.

I am not able to recommend this hotel for more than a one...

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE AND HORRIBLE!!! The first night that we checked in, we found a USED bath towel hanging on the rack and there were no new towels for us. So I went down to the reception to explain the situation and the receptionist said she will send someone. There was no apology for whatsoever. We also found the room very dirty. There is a walnut and a piece of plastic on the floor. The next day morning, I made a specific request to the reception to clean our room probably. But when we came back to the room in the evening, the beds are made but they didn’t clean the room. The hairs are everywhere. I went down and told them that the room is not clean. They came up with the excuse that I left the card on the door to not clean the room! It’s absurd! Why did I have to leave the card on if I specifically ask to clean the room. And I told them that someone came in our room for sure, because the beds are made and the towels are changed. Only that they didn’t swipe or vacuum the floors. And they came up with another excuse: they don’t vacuum the floor everyday. EXCUSE ME?!? Isn’t it the basic thing to do to run a hotel?!? So I ended up calling the cleaning team to vacuum the room in front of me!!!! Never seen a situation like that! Needless to say how rudes the staffs are!
