DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!

Especially if you are a tourist, don't waste your money or even your energy on this place. It has been the worst experience I've had regarding customer service. I'm surprised to see how this place has good reviews. The menu looked really good, but we had a few questions regarding some of the options offered. The waitress didn't seem to care to explain to us what cerain dishes were, so when a man (who seem to be the boss or something) came to attend our table, we were relieved.

However, this guy turned out to be incredibly rude. I've never been treated this badly in any restaurant. We told him politely that there was an insect in the salad. After arguing with my friend that it was not an insect, his final response was "yeah, well you're not gonna die".

After finally changing the salad, he came back to our table, gave it to us and said "there, be quiet, ok?", and left. Me and my friends work as customer service agents every single day, so we know that even if you're having a rough day, this is no way to treat anybody.

We were disgusted by his attitude and didn't know what to do since the meals were already served and we didn't want to be disrespectful. So we sat there for a few minutes waiting for our frustration to pass so that we could move on with our lunch. He then came back and askes: "Are you pissed?". When I said of course, he immediately started taking the food off the table and told us that we could leave, that he didn't need people like us in his restaurant.

The mixed reviews about this place can only make me to think that these people are very selective when it comes to the way they treat certain customers... Selective... If you know what I mean.

Thankfully, we went to a restaurant that is just a few steps away, and the waiters were very friendly and treated us like any customer deserves...

During my recent visit to Salzburg, I had the pleasure of dining at Triangel, a charming restaurant renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings. The highlight of my experience was the traditional Salzburg pork cutlet, expertly prepared and served with a delightful side of rice and a tantalizing berry jam. This dish perfectly encapsulated the rich, authentic flavors of Austrian cuisine, making it an unforgettable part of my meal.

Beyond the exquisite food, what truly set Triangel apart was its warm and welcoming service. The staff were not only exceptionally kind but also demonstrated a genuine eagerness to ensure a comfortable and memorable dining experience. This level of care and attention added a special touch to the already wonderful atmosphere.

Moreover, the pricing at Triangel is surprisingly moderate, considering the high quality of the food and service. This aspect only enhanced my overall satisfaction, as it’s rare to find such a perfect balance of price, quality, and hospitality.

In summary, Triangel is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Salzburg’s traditional cuisine, served in a friendly and inviting environment. It’s a culinary gem that truly reflects the heart and soul of Austrian...

Tourist perspective: At least they let us pee 🙂

We are visiting, don’t speak German, and don’t know the customs. I’m sure we did something to deserve the distain from the staff but I genuinely don’t know what it was.

I’d love to know why we were so unacceptable if the staff cares to share so we don’t make the same mistake again. We were there at 6pm this evening for reference.

I’m from the US, my wife is Brazilian and so are my step kids.

Was it because we had a baby that was being difficult? Was it that we spoke English? Was it because we ordered drinks and only one meal of food while we were there for 45 minutes with many empty tables around us? Did I act in appropriately asking for the bill from the bartender because the baby was fussing?

I have no idea! All I know is I felt like we were unacceptable and they couldn’t wait for us to leave! Fantastic!

The drinks and salad were great, the schnitzel was average. And I will never go back but I’m sure they don’t care!

Btw, we didn’t have any issue at the restaurant up the hill at Hohensalzburg Fortress restaurant.

You’ll be shocked to know I don’t...

Set just off the busy main streets, the outdoor area is bathed in sunshine and has a good atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food came fairly quickly. I was slightly disappointed with the tenderness and of the lamb and found it a little bland, but it was still adequate. Unfortunately the polenta was too much like soup for my liking. The goulash and Knödel were however both tasty. The indoor area has a quaint charm and the toilets have doors like aeroplane bathrooms, sadly they smell just as good. Overall okay, but perhaps a bit pricey for the quality.
