I had living 10 years in Salzburg, and being a regular visitor to 220GRAD since its first store in Nonntal. Never expected to encounter with such an unprofessional and disrespectful clerk name Elisabeth. We arrived this afternoon with my 3month old baby in her stroller. In the garden there are 2 vacant tables but there was only 2 chairs. We asked her, Miss Elizabeth to help us get more chairs so we can sit in the garden. Refused for whatever reason. Ok, so we sat inside. Then later 2 more of our friends came and they spotted 2 vacant chairs at the entrance, so they took these chairs into the garden table. At this point, we saw Miss Elizabeth, for whatever reason started to imitate the “clumsy movement “of our friends moving the chairs to her colleagues. We have no idea where does that come from?! I mean does it amuse you Miss Elisabeth? Or just because we are all Asian? But this is not the end. Later I went to the bar table and asked some Hot Water to warm milk for my toddler girl. Guess who is at the counter? Yes, Miss Elisabeth. I asked for Hot Water, hearing this she turn to her colleague and made a funny face, like this is an totally absurd demand. I was speechless, angry and feeling disrespected. My manner does not allow me to make a scene in the store. But at least I can write it down here and ask Miss Elisabeth why? Was there anything we did and say wrong to you and to the Cafe? Or making fun of Asian customers simply...
Read moreI used to enjoy coming to your location, but unfortunately, the service has been getting worse and worse. I visited in June and again today, and both experiences were extremely disappointing.
In June, I waited an hour and a half for the food. We never even received the cake we had ordered, but I chose not to make a fuss at the time...
Today, I came again with my baby. Before ordering, I specifically asked if the food would take long. I was told it wouldn’t, so I placed my order. Yet I ended up waiting an hour, during which my baby became fussy. I could no longer wait, so I went to pay for the drinks and leave. I stood in a huge line with the baby because no one was coming to the table anymore.
The lady there was very rude and told me I had to pay for the food and take it to go — “you order the food, you pay,” she said. She quickly went to get the food from the kitchen, which, according to her, had been ready but was left there for an hour?!? She then came back to tell me they actually hadn’t even started my order yet....
I paid by card, and this woman even hesitated when the tip question popped up — I honestly think she was about to ask me if I wasn’t leaving a tip.... The staff there are incredibly...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting 220 Grad during my trip to Salzburg, and it exceeded all my expectations. The cafe is tucked away in a charming part of the city, offering a cozy and stylish atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home.
The breakfast menu was thoughtfully curated, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. I opted for their freshly baked croissant with jam, paired with one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. The coffee was rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed—clearly made with care and expertise.
What truly stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience, making thoughtful recommendations and checking in without being intrusive.
The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Every euro felt well-spent. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot in Salzburg that combines delicious food, excellent coffee, and warm hospitality, 220 Grad is an absolute must-visit.
Highly...
