While exploring Salzburg on a rainy afternoon, we came across a tiny, take away coffee shop we had seen in several popular travel videos. It looked cozy, so we decided to give it a try.
The Moroccan guy running the place was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The concept is unique and visually appealing—but be aware, it’s strictly takeaway only; there’s no seating area.
Unfortunately, we felt the place didn’t quite live up to the hype. The drink portions were very small—far less than a standard cup—and the taste was just average. Given the high prices, it felt like you’re mostly paying for the trendy experience rather than quality coffee.
If you're on a limited budget, we wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a nice stop for a quick photo or to satisfy curiosity if you've seen it online, but not worth it if you’re looking for value or a proper...
Read moreI was visiting Salzburg from the USA and while walking we found this place. WHAT A GREAT FIND. The shopkeeper was super friendly. I ended up trying two espressos, one of each of the beans he roasted nearby, and I enjoyed one of them so much that I purchased a bag. I even got to ask him about his brew settings so I can recreate it when I get home. I then ordered the cappuccino with marshmello fluff... this was something I've never seen before... but while it was "odd," it was delicious. He even let me pick the bean (Ethiopia) for my cappuccino. He also talked my daughter into trying some of his soft serve ice cream, and after I tasted it, I thought I might have made a mistake going with coffee and not ice cream. If you like interesting, unique finds, I recommend this place. It is not fully traditional, but if you really just want an espresso, they can...
Read moreOnly take away, card only. We ordered a cafe latte and a brew coffee. Not a lot of variety available, only Yirgacheffe available, but the quality is really good for both the latte and brew coffee. The young man who was serving us was charmingly cheerful and we had a brief conversation on food recommendations and things about where we're from. Generally a very pleasant experience and strongly recommended for a quality cup of coffee. Specialty quality coffee is not very easily available around, and this one is definitely one of the nearest to the tourist district. The shop seems to also boast their pistachios wafflelino and ice cream, but we didn't give it a try. People who ordered it seem to be...
