Overpriced Overrated So commercial like a zoo Nothing paradise about this resort high prices Buffet dinner $64 a person and that doesn't include 10% tax and 15% tip in price not included Shake shake easy $100 that's only few burgers and fries. Biggest rip off vacation spot ever been to. As soon as I checked out no more Internet access literally check out 11am by 11:04am couldn't even log in and for high prices very sad and embarrassing for Paradise to have to access when you are still at the resort for a few more hours. Horrible resort literally highway robbery Nothing was accommodating you pay for everything except for water park passes come with resort fee. They even charge for gym, paddle boarding $40 and mini golf $45 a person kids $25 these activities are at no cost to the resort. The Royal tower hotel was disgusting as furniture was rusty conditions old, shower heads nasty and mold even in bathroom shower. No refills of shampoos Needs a remodel for price you are being charged it's a ripoff The 15% tip automatically in everything is horrible so service isnt great as they are automatically getting that 15% so they don't care about their services. Beaches nothing great about them, Rocky as hell such big rocks and they constantly closed it. No towels on one of my 6 days after 1pm how are you supposed to swim or dry yourself unacceptable period. Overpriced hotel with nothing accommodating to guests everything is extra cost for everything. I'd never go back could of went on 2-3 vacations with that prices all being all inclusives. Lots of poverty driving back to airport sad maybe they should use ripping off customers with extremely high prices and help the poor. It's like you leave golden gates to see ppl lined up to get feed at kitchens or wheelchair person sleeping on the ground saw this with my own eyes. And you scratch your head going what the charge ppl at this resort is...
Read moreAtlantis Paradise Island Atlantis Paradise Island is an ocean-themed resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. It features a variety of accommodations built around Aqua venture, a 154-acre waters-cape, which includes fresh and saltwater lagoons, pools, marine habitats, and water slides and river rides. The property was originally part of the Paradise Island Hotel and Casino, which opened in 1968. It was owned by Resorts International, a Merv Griffin company. Donald Trump at one point owned a majority stake in Resorts International. He spun off ownership of the Trump Taj Mahal property from the company and sold Resorts in full, including outstanding debts from Taj Mahal construction, to Griffin. Paradise Island was purchased by South African hotel magnate Sol Kerzner and Kerzner International Limited in 1994, and Kerzner's new resort, comprising the Coral Towers and previously built The Beach Tower, opened officially in 1998. The property's name was changed to Atlantis when The Royal Towers was built. The Coral Towers and The Beach Tower were later refurbished to match the theme of the Royal Towers. On March 28, 2007, a 600-suite luxury hotel named The Cove Atlantis opened on Paradise Island. Another tower, the 497-room The Reef, opened 19 December 2007. Currently, the property is owned by Brookfield Asset Management and operated by Brookfield Hospitality. In October 2014, Atlantis, Paradise Island became a member of Marriott International's Autograph Collection Hotels, which includes a marketing partnership with the brand in order for guests to earn or redeem Marriott Rewards...
Read moreAtlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas is not exactly paradise. Don’t get me wrong from the outside looking in it’s gorgeous. The cost of this is so over the top ridiculous. Bottle of water, nothing fancy $8. Food is at comparable excessive prices, and for the majority of available options, not good. Breakfast is good, but overpriced. The feeling of being at Disney World comes to mind but on the water. If you can get by with one meal a day with a snack you might not spend as much to sustain yourself and family on your visit.
The underwater tanks you can walk through are dirty, the glass has visible old and new finger prints making it tough to see the fish. I’m grateful to have had the means to visit, but never again. People working in Paradise aren’t friendly, in fact some down right rude, like they are to good to help a patron. Some beaches on Paradise Island are what you’d expect to see in the Caribbean Sea, calm, pale blue with water clear enough to see your feet, other beaches not so good, cloudy water with rocky sea floor. Venture out and around to find the perfect beach spot.
The Caribbean Sea has no many islands with natural white sand, calm clear water at a price that’s affordable. If you have a large bank account balance or a big plastic card to use and enjoy Disney World, this may be heaven on earth, we didn’t.
If you venture out of the island enclosure to Nassau you’ll find great local food one can afford . Conch salad made fresh right in front of you. 👍🏼. People outside of the resort...
